It may have gone largely unnoticed in the mainstream Pakistani media, but the Indian Army recently undertook a massive reorganization by formalizing its Long Term Integrated Perspective Plan 2012 – 2027 (LTIPP).
The planned new raisings would add about 100,000 troops to the existing Indian Army deployments aimed at the Chinese in the northeast of the country. To justify such restructuring, the Indian Army has said it would now be capable of meeting challenges on both the western and eastern fronts as part of a new pro-active strategy.
An excellent article which explains Indian Army's new raisings and its effect on South Asian environment and Pakistan in Particular.

There is nothing offensive, but see the new developments only on the defensive manner. This was NEEDED.

North East India was mostly neglected in terms of capability development but they are doing so in last few years, what they should have done 15 years ago. What India doing in the north east?

1) Raising new squadrons of Su-30MKI.
2) Moving new Jaguar DARIN-II/III squadrons.
3) Moving IL-76 squadrons from Pune to Bagdogra.
4) Akash operational in the north east.
5) Acquisition of M-777 ultra light artillery. Trails done in Sikkim.
6) Future deployment of LCH, new digital camo indicates that. Most probably AH-64D as well.
7) Number of medium and heavy lift chopper squadrons with new Mi-17 and Chinook/Mi-26.

India has its rights to do whatever they want so long they don't attempt to threaten its neighbours militarily. Defense is a must but an offense will only lead to its downfall.

China will just enjoy their steady annual growth in its military and developments its infrastructures, education, healthcare and economy etc. China don't even compete with India. Our emphasis are, and has in recent times, always been on America. This will continue to be the trend for the foreseeable future.

India is also increasing the strength and numbers in para military forces and they are raising about 100,000 new para military personals and they will be deployed in J&K, NE and other sensitive areas so that army will be free to concentrate for the things they are made for.

Did somebody mentioned China here,u got it right,we have every right to do whatever in every territory that we control,we had not here crossed any limits, this is just to remind other's that u please also keep in ur limit.

China can unabated have it's growth and competition with US,we have nothing to do with it,please leave us alone.

Why dont you Indians comment on the substance highlighted in the article rather than making generalised and spanner throwing type of comments :chilli:
