There were no restrictions as such you could file for permit that would be available to you in a week.

That was useless, because most of tourist are here for a short trip so they are really on tough schedule so nobody would file another application just to visit another area. If you watch the video, he clearly says that he is the first tourist to visit Azad Kashmir and even there was news in the local newspaper. So that was a very bad restriction. We should thank PM IK for correcting the mistake. I would rather punish the one who in fact placed this restriction.

no you are misinterpreting his statement he is the first tourist after the restriction was lifted (meaning that he did not have to get a permit) not that he is the first foreign tourist ever. The restriction was for AJK not for GB. Plenty of foreigners have got permits yes they have complained that it made no sense...I am not debating the pros and cons here....just saying that those who were determined to go were able to.
