Dude this parameter actually Reflects how indian industry gained momentum in 80s when u banned ours. We had yr films being screened here since 70s or early 80s. And for yr info 50 to late 70s was the golden era of our Lollywood. We had actually more then just 400 to 500 cinemas before east pak separated, we had 1,300 cinemas and then in 90s they were 400 to 500 but now they r 700 in total i dont know who told u we have just 150You may have had thriving industry once but with less competition from across the border and less movies to show you guys stifled your movie industry and cinema in general. From 400 to 500 movie theaters in 90's you guys have been reduced to some 150 now. For a population of 180 million people you should have about three to four thousand cinema and multiplexes. Protectionist policies does not work in our globalized world anymore and It is better to accept change and move forward.
In pres mush times he made lot of cinemas here and im an owner of an Add agency and i spend most of my day with these producers, directors and models. I can tell u better then any news article claims. Just couple of days ago i was reading abt Waar and that article claimed we have 250 cinemas then i read another and it claimed we have 400
So these paparazzi type articles actually prove nothing.......The multiplexes that r being build and those who r operational now like Centaurus have a must Cinemas Center under the contract that they sign with GOP.
