Stop arguing that My gun is better than yours, you need to see the scenario where the gun is required, close combat scenario or just a fire in the border.

The requirement for India's AK 47 is clear they are for the non combat troops, Like paramilitary, Police, Station guard etc. There is another gun for Paratroops, Special ops team, NSG, Commando and light infantry. Please find pics below

By the way, that gun was not modified, but was accessoriesed by Saheed Captain. Although I agree we are late to copy Ak series, but INSAS does its job, its not a that bad gun either mate.
Moreover PA doesn't use that accessoriesed gun.

PA n even Para Military like Ranger use upgraded AK-47 its very common to see Rangers personal carrying it.

This is an AK, not the rifle being mentioned. It's also from a video game. I dont know how people didnt see that from the beginning, or why OP inserted that image.

Ishapore, Kanpur and Tiruchirapalli factories made prototypes that can feed 7.62×39mm, Tiruchirapalli factory made Trichy, which is a converted SLR.

This rifle and the Kanpur one failed. We have no images of the Kanpur rifle or the winning Ishapore one, but you can bet the Ishapore one will be close to the INSAS variants, but just feeds AK rounds.
