Unless there is a change in Engine and Airframe there is no possibility of it getting converted into bomber... But i guess our Mirage is capable of nuclear delivery ..

India doesn't depend on bombers for nuclear delivery. So we don't need to convert anything into a bomber. All our nukes will be delivered either by fighter aircraft, or by missiles.

Yes. India might just do that. Mirages are a great, in fact one of the best A2G platforms in India right now.

in that case the frenchies/or anyone else would have practically offered everything materially possible in order to secure that contract. $10.6 billion (or 20 billion whatever it is valued at right now) is no joke to a country's economy.

Firstly people, stop comparing it to f16. It may or may not be advanced. But how does it really matter.

Best comparison we can do is internally. So, here it is. It will be better than existing Mirages and Jaguars and the future Tejas. Inferior to Su 30MKI (present and upgraded super sukhois), the MMRCA winner and the FGFA.
Part I'm most excited about is the upgraded missile option. It's the weapon and radar systems that make an aircraft lethal more than anything else.
