Pakistanis too have been beaten up in Australia. So has the Chinese students, 1 in 4 have faced violence in Australia Everyone faces violence, white Aussies get beaten up by thugs too.

Indian students made an issue out of it, and got themselves dedicated police service and 24 hour helpline

The attacks on Indian students were opportunistic crimes, nothing racist about them. On the surface Australia is very tolerant, there is the occasional subtle racism here and there, but thats expected in every country.

Since there are more Indians and Chinese in any given country, they are at the receiving end more often than say Pakistanis.

Pretty easy to understand, people are angry because of the poor economic conditions, and what better way to blow off steam than to attack the minorities. These kind of things rarely happen in US, plus haven't seen too much racism here, If I have to say blacks are more racist in compared to whites, which is really surprising to me. The only kind of racism that I see is against Muslims, I remember my first day in university and the very first question asked me was my religion. So religion wise people are racist here, but other than that people in US are fine.

I beg to differ actually, there was this Ukrainian lady i knew who once told me about her experience under the Bolshevik Communists and the Ukrainian Genocide known as the "Holodomore" or something like that, more than 7 million Ukrainian were starved to death and when Hitler launched Operation Barbarossa millions of Ukrainian viewed the Germans as liberators and continue to do so even today, that lady being one of them.

History being taught these days is one sided and biased.
