Indian stock market overtakes France; becomes sixth biggest

. .
What is right about what you said? For starters, you need to learn quite a lot about Gambling and stock markets. If you already know then you wouldn't make such stupid claims.

You "speculate" in a stock market which is a polite word for gambling. Here's my thread from some months ago :

"Socialism with Chinese characteristics".

Every businessman speculates when he starts a business. Is that gambling? Someone lost a job and he committed suicide, should "job" be banned? By trading in the stock, you become part-owner of the company. Gambling you get nothing but you wage your property for something and you win, you get the wager and when you lose, you lose the property you waged.

That is a silly comparison. This is most of the google result for "Speculation in stock market":
Definition: Speculation involves trading a financial instrument involving high risk, in expectation of significant returns. The motive is to take maximum advantage from fluctuations in the market.
How is this equivalent to starting a business ?

Someone lost a job and he committed suicide, should "job" be banned?

Then you should think of creating a scientific, empathetic and harmonious socio-economic system and employment system where people don't have to do competitive wage slavery just to put roof on their head, food on the table and clothing on themselves. There should be no rational reason for a country's socio-economic system to allow for citizens to commit suicide like you said and like happened recently in India which I posted in the below thread :

Will the board of directors of Infosys who can also be shareholders, be ready to commit suicide in Infosys' stocks fall ?

Like I said, speculating in part of every business. If you tomorrow start a business to sell essential oil, you are expecting a demand for it and you spend money. Lets say you decide to invest in a startup, as an angel investor you expect the business will be profitable and you invest in it. That's just like gambling is what you say. Maybe it is gambling.

Explained.

No, you create a reasonable system that's being followed everywhere in the world. Or try to assimilate as much as possible. You don't invent a system that prevents suicide.

If their entire holdings is in Infosys (which is stupid, any smart investor will not put his entire capital in one stock) then it's normal for him to feel he lost everything, in fact he will not lose everything. But that's why we have checks, you can always exit a stock that is showing negative growth and set a Stop Loss to reduce your losses. Is that possible in gambling?

Tell me what is Gambling according to you? From what I read, you have never invested in a stock and you have never gambled, you just go by your feels.

Gambling is a zero-sum game. You lose, other win or vice versa. In stock market, you invest funds in companies you feel have potential and need your funds to expand their business.

Modi has been beneficial for long term, else India’s GDP growth rate during scamgress era was due to the IT Boom which still hasn’t ended and thousands of young dudes are gettin hired and hundreds of IT Parks are coming up everywhere, next big thing in India is SaaS which by 2030 will be worth a Trillion dollars in India as per various studies.

Otherwise Demonetisation helped our fintech sector and we currently have the highest fintech adoption rate, internet became cheapest in the world. And now PLI Schemes which are going to be a literal game changer.

This is the best government we ever had, never take delusions of them seriously they want things to happen with India which is not happening.

Our startup funding increased by a lot, we witnessed more than 25 unicorn startups and record funding.
Good times ahead for India.

Anyways we Endians are jealous of game changer CPEC😉.

Petrol is being discussed in the GST council to be brought under GST. Modi is taking political risks (demonitisation, Farm laws, High fuel prices) for for the good of the country.

I am anyways not concerned with fuel prices considering it’s a difficult time and government needs revenue, so fuel costs are something which gives instant revenue boost.

Bringing Petrol to GST Ummm… na 🙅, should remain as it is but cost should be reduced and focus on EV infra which Gadkari sir is doing and Hydrogen should be done.

I’m waiting for Ultravoilette EV Bikes, an Indian company, manufacturing these in India😌.

stocks are good in the way that banks are good. yes its kind of like gambling, but it allows for the companies to raise cash to invest into their projects. just like how banks can "create" money via lending and using on hand cash they've got from saving and other account. overall it allows for greater wealth for society. of course it can be abused, but so can a spoon(for drugs) that doesnt mean we should ban it.

also, one guy committing suicide doesn't means anything,or did you want to hear about the amount of indian committing suicide because of debts?

stocks or any form of investments are not gambling , these are informed choices , Day trading / shorting stocks is like gambling , but that to for the ill informed.
One can also say life is gambling , crossing the road is gambling.

Proper hedging and balanced portfolios never loose money.
Proper management will balance with low risk like gold , govt bonds with high risk like consumer services etc

Importing Chinese components I hear. It's likely another micromax who will disappear once OEM companies arrive.

It is unlikely petrol is ever brought under GST. But it is a political stroke nonetheless, because the states who oppose it have to explain their stance in rising fuel prices which they used to blame center.
