Disingenious analogy. The attacks on jawans during MMS' premiership happened on the western border. Pakistan will not allow cross border raids by the army and air force into their territory. (To say nothing of actually shielding the perpetrators.) But Myanmar is non-hostile, and fully co-operative, and the army only had to focus on killing the militants. They did not have to worry if their Mi-17s would be shot out of the sky by the neighbour's air defence, or whether they would have to deal with the neighbour's soldiers, etc.

There is no comparison, between doing a cross border raid into Myanmar and doing one into Pakistan.
