Indian singer gone bonkers about Pakistani singer

My dear friend Pakistani singers are always welcome and are already in India.

My point was no need to single out Abhijeet he has right for his views which he is expressing that too in his own country and he is not alone. He only expects similar treatment to Indian artiste.

Whats wrong with his statement ?

Indian singers are welcomed in pakistan as well, no 1 stopped them from coming. Government has denied visas to a few indian artist, but it could be many reasons other than hatred.

Abhijet could be talking out of jealousy, as seen before, where he refused to give marks to Pakistani contestants, bashing atif.

Oh! Please "Atif aslam" is a great singer. Lets not get into criticizing artiste we should vent criticism on biased Govt policies.

Abijit is saying nonsense. All Pakistani who have capabilities for singing,acting,sports(cricket etc..) should be allowed to be in INDIA(except Pakistanis with terrorist capabilities like Kasab). They should be given all help to produce the best in INDIA. I consider it as a matter of pride for INDIA. .

I agree artist should be allowed to perform as art has no boundry unlike sports events which involves competition hence not good in the times of tension between two countries.

If Pakistani singers are better than India's we should accept them. And of course Pakistani actors are more beautiful than INDIAN ones...

Who told u Pakistani singers are better than indian one,on what basis??

There are only hadnful of pakistani singers performing in india,they get recognition only if they bring something new to the table.Its to do with chaning taste and varity of music which make indian producers to lure pakistani singers as we have huge market in india with constant demand from new music .

Abhijeet may be competing singer probably justified in his views I see no one proving Abhijeets claim wrong regarding Government policies.

There is no point of bringing pakistani playback singers to sing on tunes made by our music directors...we have enough playback singers india and they are the best.

I agree with Abhijeet, one way traffic makes no sense. How many Pakistani artiste have stood up against their administration and said that Indian artistes should be welcome in their country too?

besides Pakistani artistes need us, our industry. We can do without them, its not our problem that their creativity can’t be optimized in their own country.

These are by no means the best of Pakistan and India at war . It's like two mediocre pop culture icons are battling it out. By comparison, Lata always referred to Noor Jehan as her elder sister and there was always mutual respect.

In one of the reality shows where Abhijeet is dissing Atif Aslam, an Indian kid came up and sang a NFAK song, Abhijeet had sour grapes written all over him, but I guess since hes dead and obviously no comparison between them, he had to shut up.

Moreover, Abhijeet doesn't write any of his songs. He's a playback singer who sings on instructions from actual musicians. In Pakistan, much like everywhere else in the world, the music is written and composed by a single person (or band).

I mean if India ever gets exposed to the actual Music Industry of Pakistan then imagine what people like Abhijeet would feel like. Atif Aslam, is amongst the worst that we could've offered . Like Meera.

Its best kept away art from politics..we enjoy almost all kind arts regardless which country they came from ..and whats the problem with Pakistani singer sung on tunes made by Indian music directors??if a pakisthani singers sound is good then it will make the song much beautiful and enjoyable ...

And also these kind of cultural exchange and people to people interaction only helps in reducing the misconceptions of each others country ..

Indian music industry is dominated by Bollywood music since ages .We never had or there was any real market for pop music since bollywood traditionally catered all sorts of music to listeners .Hence, unlike most places in the world ,we never had developed pop music though after the arrival of music channels,we saw pop albums of all sorts and they did really well but again fizzle out to bollywood music.

PS:On regional languages ,its the pop albums dominate the market in a big way.
