I cannot blame them for not liking the Su-57 and pulling out of the deal. It is extremely clear the fighter has a lot of problems, especially in the stealth and avionics department. And I really can't see how the Su-57 can improve much from here given the inefficiencies of the Russian aviation industry + the technology limitations. With that being said, it is still the Indians best shot at countering the J-20 by far, even if it is not really a 5th generation fighter. They really should invest in Su-57, which might come up a better plane by now, putting their feet on the ground is never their thing, I guess.
India is being dragged into an arm race that it can't afford. This "penny wise pound foolish" country just can't see what it's got itself into for a few km of land. I don't think they ever had a full retrospect of the 1962 border war.
You forgot to mention the Tejas ... there is no way the J-20 or the Su-35 can survive against the Tejas either. Hell, I don't even think the F-22 or F-35 are a match for it either.Neither J-20 nor Su-35 will survive against Rafale.
Infact Spectra of Rafale jammed entirety of S-300PMU-2s extremely powerful radar complex. Airborne fighter radars which have a much much lower power output does not even stand a chance
Indeed your style of post.Neither J-20 nor Su-35 will survive against Rafale.

Rafale can not even beat JF-17Neither J-20 nor Su-35 will survive against Rafale.

One thing I always wonder is why there so much hype in India about Rafale Jets. I mean what extra do they bring to IAF which is more capable than what rest of the world has. Yes they are better than the existing inventory of IAF but in regards to rest of the world what is edge they have?

Let's not get down to his level, dick measuring is not needed.Rafale can not even beat JF-17

The J-20 is not a strike aircraft dude ... please read the below article to understand what it was designed for. You will see the strike/interceptor role is complete bs.

I am not underestimating it but what extra & new capability it brings to the table that is a valid question. Yes one of the things I can understand that some of the hype was pushed by manufacturer by funding the Indian media so that the jet sales take effect.Hi,
Do not under estimate the Rafale---.
I wonder why all J20 is currently not doing his "supposed" job.you didn’t understand what I have written O told you specifically J-20 is no super manoeuvrable platform Chinese doesn't have good enough engine right now to support this bomb truck ...
I remember reading a US military report but cant find the link now...
These are exact thing they wrote:
J-20 primary mission is to fly low and shoot Anti Ship missile at US fleet
J-20 has no manoeuvrability at high speeds and will be a good target specially from rear and sides as most of stealth is optimised at front.
I trust Us military over random journos or PdF posters ...
This clearly states not a high Thrust2Weight ration makes it not a ideal platform to be used in Himalayan front ofcourse it can carry few strike weapons but it wont be able to carry out sead duties beyond Himalayas...
Its been reported that Chinese tested J-20 in Tibbet ... Su-30 MKi pretty much detected it everytime using IRST from a good enough distance to log few IR homing AAMs..
rest when the time comes we will know but these are the assessments... I dont think PLAAf will be too eager to use J-20 most the weight will fall on Flanker clones and original flankers from Russia think they r more than capable to take care of stuff thab J-20 in Tibbetan terrain
