India has to realize that the status quo has changed quite significantly in the last 2-3 years and the chances of having Pakistan isolated are getting worse, not better. First, security situation in Pakistan is vastly improved. The number of civilians killed in terrorist attacks is down roughly 80% from just 3 years ago. This will cause the economy to grow much faster as well as bring in more investment.
Second, most terrorist attacks in the west now trace to the MENA region and not Pakistan. I remember not too long ago India and its netizens used to salivate whenever a terrorist attack was traced back to Pakistan, and there were a lot of them. Now the vast majority trace back to MENA.
Finally, CPEC is big game changer and effectively kills any possibility of isolating Pakistan. Not only is CPEC in full swing (~1200 km of motorways under construction, 12000 MW power projects under construction, and a lot more under advanced planning), but countries such as Turkey, Iran, and other gulf countries want a piece of the action.
