the indian dams are just an excuse the politicians over there pass over to hide their own incompetency. everywhere there is water crisis. if india is building dams, then this is just to make up the loss in storage capacity caused by the silt. same thing is happening in pakistan also , but since no new dams are built in years , the water crisis is severe.
its just the tip of the iceberg as they say, if they dont start building dams ,they will be in really deep problem...
