There's no crime free society and Pakistan is no exception.

But the extent to which this rape epidemic has taken a hold of Indian society - there's need for some serious introspection.

Very few Indians I know in this forum does self introspection. When you ask them, you will be attacked. They will bring up issues with your country or country of origin for brining up facts.

Rape was made illegal in India by Muslim rulers. Until then, Hindus used to practice legalized rape - i.e. temple prostitution. Incest and beastiality was also encouraged by Kama sutra, etc.

These Indians are sick people. Especially they tie those practices to their religion.

Theres a difference between rape in backwards rural areas and recorded gangrapes in public and no-one doing anything about it. And then rapes by the military there and in Kashmir is a whole new level.
Rape is a problem everywhere but India is at some South Africa level.

Even if your self-concocted claim was to be taken as the truth without any empirical data or proof, India itself would have the last right to complain given its gross number of unreported cases. Count the unreported cases and you'd have India reigning at the top by many a mile.

The NCRB (National Crime Record Bureau) of India records a 112 percent rise in the number of reported rapes between 1990 and 2008 in India. In 2011, 24,206 rape cases were reported. That's 66 rapes a day. Ninety percent of the rape cases in India go unreported.
