Damn right, where Public opinion matters and GoAir is a private company that runs because... if you can guess.... public flies with them. When there is a boycott campaign, freedom of expression award is not going to bail you out of millions of dollars in losses also, these airlines have company policies precisely for that, it is, it's employees shouldn't involve in politics and even tweet politics. Even my accounting firm has a strict policy on making political or religious remarks that may offend potential clients. If I'm found making such remarks I will be out of my job.

Yeah, get a job in a reputed firm and read the fine print, you will understand how one should behave in a private capacity. And for every B2C firms, reputation is everything, if an employee engages this way in a private capacity that diminishes the firm's reputation.
