India and Pakistan are like my 2 aunties.
Dono din bhar kich kich karte rehte hai, but at the end of the day they share the same blood, values, culture and at the time of need will stand by each other.
The only way to bring the region together is through economic prosperity. I'm guessing by 2040 we should see a very different relation between the two great nations.

yeah hypothetically maybe, but in reality big no, we are at present worst enemy of each other at govt level, but at the individual level, we can have an amicable relationship with each other especially in a third country. The ideological difference is there, which we can not abridge easily. Besides that, we have many things in common, to live peacefully together, brotherhood is not necessarily relevant, we can live happily even being enemies. what is important to be sensible while dealing with each other. India at present is behaving no more than a bully. no brother can tolerate such nonsense behavior.

We share a lot with each other.. Our language, sports taste, cuisines, culture values, moral values like respecting women (theoretically), elders, beating children etc
Point is where we deviate is, our core issues to us. Like religion. As Quaid said "Our heroes are your foe". Similarly, our treatment towards cow, for hindus it is a matter of life and death, for us it is food. Hence, we have these cores common to Morocons, living in west of Africa than people living beyond Wahga.
Hence, we can marry them/spend life together with Morocons but not with Indians, even if our languages are same.

You are talking about Pakistanis, hell you cannot co-exist with Indian Muslims. Muslims and Hindus live in separate societies in India. Unless, we take religion just personal issue and not national issue. @dharmi
Only secular Dehli can rule the hearts and mind of current India. Otherwise, there had been people who ruled Calcutta from Dehli before.
Also you are right. If India can surpass China in economy , US will make you enemy and be friends with China.

That is a myth that has been proven to be nothing more than indian lies, propaganda and disinformation. The differences between Pakistanis and indians is more than just religion. It is IN FACT racial, genetic, linguistic, cultural, geopolitical etc. The under-2% of indians having some sort of similarity with 50% of Pakistanis is neither here nor there. By the same token, nearly 40% of Iranians and over 75% of Afghans are racially and genetically related to 70% of Pakistanis. Should Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan now become one nation like they were for many millenia in the ancient past?
