I think Dipa will definitely get an olympic medal in her career at some point. She almost got bronze here.

So far her and Bindra were the ones that came the closest to medals for India.

We still got one boxer (Vikas) who is looking good....and wrestlers (both men and women) and maybe Sindhu can pull off a miracle in badminton.

At this point my 4 - 6 prediction may be optimistic even....but I don't think it will be a 0.

Just missed. She should be ranked 4th in the Vault Finals.

Still kudos to Dipa, she is ranked above the Chinese! A rarity for the Indian Gymnastic Team.

frankly speaking.. 99.99% of us don't pay attention on these sports... Am surprised after looking at her.. never knew about her.. this is one of most ignored sports in India... certainly her achievement will change future generation..

I hate to break this to you, but pakistan does not care for olympic sports. We dont even give money for such things and it doessnt matter to us. Indians like to be seen by the western powers as an advanced country and have an agenda to perform well in the Olympics. See the number of people you have sent to this. You are the top 5 countries who have sent that many people in the olympics. But the other 4 countries have all gotten medals.

Maybe if higher caste Indians with money participated, maybe they could fix the matches like in cricket, unfortunately only low caste India participate in olympics and no money for match fixing.

Even Ethiopia have gotten medals! There is a famine there. And the USA swimmer Micheal Phelps has more Medals than your entire country combined starting from early 19th century even before WW2! In 100 years you have gotten less medals than 1 single guy who has taken part in 4 to 5 Olympics I think. How does that feel? Even ukraine has gotten medals, there is a war there.

Open this thread to dedicated to India hauled off zero nil nada medal in all Olympic competitions. What an ambrarassment scroll through all 39 pages in this thread and couldn't find 1 update of India finally win a bronze medal at least for a good psyche of a nation.
