Indian Navy Threat to Gwadar 2017

IN has benefitted greatly from the latest imaging and navigation satellites made by ISRO.
This is an important point which gets overlooked at times. With satellite imaging and enough image processing power India should be able to identify and track surface combatants around its coasts and even in deep ocean.

I have "heard" that Chinese have been greatly interested in this for long and have been doing quite well in this field as well.. in fact I remember reading an article in a us defence journal associated with joint staff a few years earlier about this issue and potential problems because of it for fleet movements etc.

Of which at best 70 can actually fly at a time due to both maintenance and personnel issues.
To be honest I enjoyed this 'windjammer style' reply to that idiot. I decided not to argue with him as it looked useless. To summarise, to one of my pose he raised a useless argument that 4 AWACS are not enough to cover a about 700km coast. I replied back mentioning that IAF actually operates just three (I added 2 in testing to make it more 'comfortable'). But that indian troll I think could not digest this so ended up posting vitriol about su-30s as mini-AEWACS. Which is bullshit, a fighter with long ranged radar isn't equal in functionality to an AEW & CS platform.

What do you think about mini-awacs?

And you did not reply back to my question in another thread.. I thought it could result in a lively and enjoyable discussion..

There are people worth talking to, there are others where telling a cow its a dog has better chances of success as a constructive argument .
You just ignore and move on.

I am not sure which thread you are referring to.

Sir, that post was directed at a person who uses Indian flags and addresses Indians as them in most unindian way.

I have nothing against Pakistan. I do prefer to use their language, at times.

But your assessment of only 70 Mkis being available was wrong.
Ill push that assessment to a hundred at best. Its not just the jets, you need fliers and fresh, rested fliers which the IAF lacks in any sustained conflict... prosperity has its drawbacks and the IAFs greatest enemy isnt the PAF; its Indian airlines

Retired? Anyway, ab to sahi likho janab!!

Modi will be PM for another 10-15 years. Indian GDP will reach 8-9% in 3-4 years. Beef will remain banned and Muslims will become more Pakistani especially the converted ones. Kashmir will be burned.

The butcher will be smiling.
I think you Admitted HINDU'S of India spreading terrorism in its neighboring countries as well as in India:enjoy: You are the biggest terrorist nation of the world, stop terrorism in Kashmir and also stop spreading, sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan through Iran and Afghanistan

70 at best!
How do you know?
Easy target for our AMRAAM and SD-10 because of its huge RCS of 15m2:enjoy:

huge RCS of F15 did not stop the beast achieving kill ratio of 70 to nil to date

The Flankers of India Russia & China will have no issue swotting Thunders and falcons from massive ranges with their huge PESA radars and long legged BVRS , If any enemys survive the triple salvo of BVRS then once within visual range the TVC HMD/HMS combination will make easy picking in a dog fight

As for serviceability rates at 65% these are during peace time . Countrys like india with huge forex reserves can increase serviceability in days at a drop of a hat.

RESOURCES IN WAR is everything... AND india has 10 times the resources of PAF

These beasts are capable of winning a war on their own with out even using the NAVY or ARMY

massive range
Weapons load
endurance
Radars
EW suites

ABSOLUTE DREAM to have over 250 fighters in service TODAY

Awesome FIREPOWER

There are better fighters in the world today but you can count them on one hand

F22 raptors
Rafale & Typhoon
F15S Saudi
F18 Superhornet of USN R

everything ELSE INCLUDING the block 60 of UAE or the su35 of Russia are more or less a par fighter to mki at best.

AS FOR PAF nothing comes even close LESS the one single sqd if 18 block 52

EVERYTHING will lose in 1 v 1 engagements

Afaik, a radar is a radar. First time I am hearing air to surface - being quoted ( I am not a physics grad, I have no idea about these)
Jf17 could have a potent radar, but what's it's range? It won't have endless monitoring capacity. How far can it see is my question. You can't send all 2 squadron's on search, track and destroy mode right
KJ-7V1 on blk1 has range of
  • Frequency: X band
  • Operation range (RCS of 5 m2) :
    Up-looking detection range >105KM
    Down-looking detection range >85km
  • Management of up to 40 targets
  • Numbers of simultaneously tracked targets: 10
  • Simultaneously fire on 2 BVR targets
  • Weight: <120 kg
  • Meantime between failure: 220 hours
  • Meantime to recovery: 0.5 hours
  • and in JF-17 blk-2 we have upgraded KJ-7V2 with a range of 120-130 Km

Are you understanding my question??
Radars of jets won't have 360 degree coverage
Are you going to use all jets for scanning your airspace continuously??
