Indian Navy escorts tanker through Strait of Hormuz

. .
This is exactly how an effective Blue-Water Navy should operate. Avoid getting involved in third-party conflicts, and simply provide security to any ship that requests it. This successful deployment to the Strait of Hormuz will further strengthen India's reputation as a net-security provider in the greater Indian-Ocean Region.
Ok. You guys better buy some Iranian oil. Your country's access to PG+ Afghanistan policy chance of success are in Iran's control. facts.

What difference will three person Escort do in real terms
Nothing.

Of course they do. You think they will fire at an Indian ship or Chinese or Russian? That'll be a costly and stupid mistake.
Indian ships are in Iran's control once in Persian gulf. If US can keep aircraft carrier 800 miles from Persian gulf due to Iran threat, TRUST ME, Indian vessels are at Iran's mercy.

Deterrence ! You fire at em and get fired in return. Stay away from our assets.
Your "deterrence" isnt effective or real. Its just perceived. For now, carry on.

You are forgetting that Iran needs access to our market more than we need their oil. Iran's economy is in total crisis right now, and India is one of the only markets they have access too. Whereas India has many alternative suppliers to Iran. Anyway, India and Iran have mutual strategic benefits through the INSTC, so Ind0-Iranian relations are mutually beneficial. And yes, the Indian Navy does have deterrence presence, because it is a Blue-Water Navy. That is why Indian vessels are requesting IN escorts. Also, India is not hostile to Iran.

@Dubious
Sir,
Control this troll....
Once again, I am deeply sorry I made you butthurt. That was genuinely not my intention for posting this thread.

Also, Sir may not be the best title to use for addressing @Dubious

Oh and those who are concerned about safety need not be worried. It's not like anyone is deploying the PNS Ghazi which blew itself up with its own mine.

Nobody is at anyone's mercy. At least the neutral one's aren't.

US ships stay away for a good reason, and it's your mess.
