Pakistan was formed out of the British Raj which was a British colony. The Indian state was formed at the same time as the Pakistani state. It is important to differentiate between the Indian subcontinent which is simply a region, like say Africa or Asia, and the Indian state (est. 1947).

That being said, this has no relevancy to my point above. We will accommodate Indian Muslims fleeing persecution from Hindutva radicals at rates which our resources and capacity allow us.

This shouldn't hinder their fight against hateful extremists that seek to deprive them of their safety and livelihood in their native homeland.
