Yup, Muslims and Hindus can live together as long as Indian Muslims are second tier and generally subservient to the Hindu Majority.

What a load of BS! Unlike other religions Hinduism doesn't condemn non-believers to hell or consider them as inferior. West Pakistan was more prosperous than rest of India and had more elites. Its funny how they forgot those Muslims left behind after partition. If you know the correct version of history then you would know that Jinnah was an atheist and a die-hard secular and never supported religious extremist unlike Gandhi/Nehru. Infact Jinnah was the one who first opposed the idea of diving India.The only reason got partition was because of Nehru-Jinnah rivalry. He knew that he would be sidelined and Nehru would dominate.

Now lets talk about why Indian Muslims are backward.They shun modern education and values instead stick to traditional ones. They continue supporting Clerics and Politicians who fool them in name of Islam. Any initiative to bring them into mainstream enrages them and they consider that as interference in their religion. Most of money spent on Muslim minority gets stolen by their own Muslim ministers who even steal land owned by WAQF board. Look at Bohris, they are one of the most prosperous communities in India despite being Muslim. Historically speaking, India was ruled by Muslim Rulers for more than 800 years, its a fact that Jizya tax was imposed on non-Muslims and they were persecuted too. Knowing this how can Indian Muslim beg for reservation/quotas. When knowing that non-Muslims were discriminated against and Muslims had it relatively easy for 800 years.
Its a shame that a indigenous community which is almost 25% of the population begs for freebies while communities like parsis who dont even form 0.1% of the total population live with their head held high.

Muslim community itself is to be blamed for its poor condition. An unemployed Muslim friend of mine got a decent Bank job but didn't join because someone told him that working in a Bank is Un-Islamic. Now hes still unemployed and as usual whining about everything. This is a typical Indian Muslim !!

Backward Muslims decry reservations on religious grounds, say move unconstitutional

Though a state government-appointed committee has suggested quotas for Muslims, Other Backward Caste (OBC) organisations from the community have opposed the move to grant reservations to Muslims on religious grounds.

They say this may lead to backward Muslims being elbowed out by their affluent counterparts.
At present, around 29 classes from the Muslim community are given reservations under the OBC category and a similar number seeking inclusion.

The report of a seven-member committee, headed by retired IAS officer Dr Mehmood-ur-Rehman, has recommended reservations for Muslims in government and private sector jobs and in housing projects.

Shabbir Ansari of the All-India Muslim OBC Organisation opposed any plan for quotas on religious grounds and pointed out that this would be detrimental for backward Muslims. He said such moves were part of vote-bank politics.

“To provide reservations on the basis of religion is unconstitutional,” charged Ansari.

Ansari said OBCs, who form around 90% of the community, were engaged in traditional occupations like bagwans (gardeners), nais (barbers), ansaris and momins (weavers), khatiks (butchers) and tambolis (betel leaf cultivators).

“If reservations on religious grounds are introduced, OBC Muslims will get nothing. Their hands will remain empty,” said Ansari, adding that if the decision was taken, quotas and benefits would be cornered by the affluent Ashraf section.

“Reservations and benefits must be given to backward Muslims only and not to all Muslims. We oppose any such plan,” said Ansari.

“The government is cheating the community. While the government appointed the Rehman committee for Muslims, it did not give it any facilities or even an office,” said Ansari. He rued that the Muslim OBCs are facing trouble in getting caste certificates from the government.

India's future with this huge population that too religious people looks not nice wr.to co-existance of different communities. Muslims are very very very religious and Hindus are fast reaching the Muslim milestone with RSS and Sanghparivar propping up. partition was a measure to save from civil war inside India. now, still it may happen considering Muslims are 18crores or above. the best medicine is choosing a government which is dedicated to prevent religious conflict. and that is not BJP or NDA.
Muslims at some time will reach 40% or high in numbers. keeping the Muslims in India to be moderates(like Turkey?) is a very important need. Let us hope Muslim J1hadis and Hindu nationalists will be at their graves 5 decades later and India progress into a less religious and pro-modern society especially in northern India.

Somethings you should know, which you have mentioned in your posts.

1. Quid-e-Azam started his political career from congress and he was one he strongly opposed the idea of Indian division. It was Hindu leaders and press who gave him the title of "Ambassador of Hindu Muslim Unity". I would recommend you to find out reasons which make him left not only congress but India also. He totally left politics and went back to England because of attitude which hardline hindu leaders have towards muslims. Read also his 14 points agenda which was rejected altogether by Nehru.

2. Do read what Indian muslims went through during congress led government 1937-1939. How this period pushed the muslims to adopt 1940 resolution in 1940.

3. What led to person like Allama Iqbal to change his thoughts from being a nationalist who wrote "Saray Jahan se accha Hindustan hamara" to one who gave the idea of separate muslim country in 1930.

4. When muslims were ruling India, their literacy rate was 100%. At that time mosque in every village was a school and the teacher was called "moulvi". He was paid directly from kingdom. 4 subjects were compulsory Math, Persian, Arabic and Fiqqah. After the fall of Mughal empire in 1857, the first thing British did was to hit this education system. Lord Macaulay introduced new education system whom sole purpose was to crush muslims intellectuality. This led to the condition that after 50 years muslims were the least educated and most backward people of Indian subcontinent.

5. Jazzya is a form of tax. Muslims pay Zakat while non-muslims pay Jazzyah. So its not specific for minorities and it is not in any way target non-muslims.

Dont need to get emotional dear. If Indian government take INR 1000/- per adult male muslim per year, and guarantee that his life, property, respect and religious places will be protected. Every Muslim will say yes. Dont your government take taxes from minorities? If you migrate to USA or Europe, start a business, dont you pay tax? What that country guarantee you in return?

In Islam, Zakat is the main tex system, which is that after an year if someone has certain limit excess money he/she will pay 2.5% on it. It is not given to state but directly to poor people. On yearly harvest there is separate tex collected by the state.
Jizzya is a tax on adult males who can take up arms. Women, Children and elderly are exempted from it. Against the payment of Jizzya the security of that non-muslim and his family becomes the responsibility of state.
