No we have lost it because we got our a$$ invaded and lost the tiger hill 5353.

Fact is there was no Indian post on 5353 even before the kargil war..it was one of those peaks, which lies on the LOC (literally), with much easier access from Pakistani side., but is also surrounded by Indian peaks on three sides.

In Kargil Pakistani troops occupied this feature in addition to some 140 more peaks.

After Indian offensive in Kargil gained momentum, you started loosing one peak after the other. Which is when, your then and the current prime minister realizing your imminent impending defeat rushed to US (uninvited on a fourth of July).

To try and salvage you from abject humiliation and impending military and diplomatic defeat., you tried to rope in Americans to pressurize India to solve Kashmir within limited time frame in exchange withdrawal from Kargil, but to no avail.

Your uncle furious over your impudence, your lies and the fact that you had brought the subcontinent on a verge of a nuclear war, told you take hike.

Which is when you withdrew..not only having loosing all your objectives in the war, loosing 700-800 soldiers(neutral estimates) but being exposed to the entire world as 'liars'.

By Kargil you did irreparable damage to your Kashmir effort.Which till then did receive some sympathy by international community ,thereafter was viewed as cross border terrorism by Pakistan.

Even your closest allies dithered to associate with you or come to your support.

Hence you lost more that 700 soldiers to capture one peak( which was not occupied by India in the first place) and suffer abject humiliation...Good Show!!

In every battle there are certain objectives set at the start. The outcome of every battle is determined by analyzing how many (percent) objectives are achieved. So not only that we failed to meet the objectives in Kargil but the shit got hit the fan too. Credits to our soldiers for putting up a great fight in the most worst situation and holding down the defenses for quite some time.

P.S All those lives given by our soldiers did not go in vain but helped greatly for the Kashmir cause.
