I got this from the same wikipediaAnd it,s the wikipedia which is saying that you tried your best to get back the tiger hill 5353 but failed.
Tiger Hill or "Point 4660"[1][2] is a mountain in the Drass-Kargil area of Jammu & Kashmir, India. It is one of the highest peaks in the area and was
the subject of the famous battle during
the 1999 India-Pakistan Kargil War. Its recapture was one of the most
important objective for Indian forces during the Kargil War.[3]
Man,our defeat was pathetic all the time, especially in 1971So Pakistan won Kargil war too?
Damn these pakistanis are a hardy lot, particularly on the internet!
No we have lost it because we got our a$$ invaded and lost the tiger hill 5353.
Can you post the MAP showing where exactly is it located on it.the point 5353.Indians wont accept even if you take all of them to 5353...Well it has been discussed to death Pakistan's achievements in Kargil conflict, but no doubt IA lost soldiers as well as strategic points...
@Aeronaut, I think no need to further discuss this topic, many people across border might have heart attacks...
In every battle there are certain objectives set at the start. The outcome of every battle is determined by analyzing how many (percent) objectives are achieved. So not only that we failed to meet the objectives in Kargil but the shit got hit the fan too. Credits to our soldiers for putting up a great fight in the most worst situation and holding down the defenses for quite some time.
P.S All those lives given by our soldiers did not go in vain but helped greatly for the Kashmir cause.
