IT Ministry asks YouTube to remove video links of IAF pilot Abhinandan Varthaman

The IT Ministry has asked YouTube to remove 11 video links pertaining to Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, who was captured by Pakistan during an air combat on Wednesday, according to sources.

The ministry had asked YouTube to remove the clips following a directive from the Home Ministry, a government source said, adding that the said links have now been removed.

When contacted, a Google (which runs YouTube) spokesperson said the company complies with “valid legal requests from authorities wherever possible, consistent with our longstanding policy and act quickly to remove such material”.

“Data on government requests to remove content from Google services is regularly updated in our transparency report,” the spokesperson added.

You know what people do? When you tell them don't do something, they make sure to do it. Not only in india but world over.

The more noise they make more attention it gets.

there is a very good reason for why the want that particular video deleted...the answer is in the pudding. Pakistan already knew that the mig21 crashed inside our territory. abhinandan bailed out and therefore, does NOT know where his aircraft's wreckage fell due to disorientation during the bail out process and the phaynta he received on the ground. The question is that WHY WOULD PAKISTAN ASK WHAT WAS THE DESTROYED AIRCRAFT??? if this guy was the mig21 pilot, Pakistan would not ask. The only reason he was asked is because the su30 wreckage did not fall on Pakistani side so we wanted a confirmation from him that he was flying the su30.

interesting, So the heli must have been inbound for possible rescue and got knocked down.

and the other two pilots to which ISPR later said only one pilot. The mystery becomes clear as it seems.

In early india clips the witness say there was explosion in the air than the choper broke into two and was completly decimated when it crash..why it exploded midair ?
