can I just ask how much you get paid for such ibm job? I mean I 100% respect your privacy which does include your personal income, but the argument here is indian coders are in general unskilled and thus they are hired just because they are cheap.

tell me your income from your employer, ibm in this case and we will see whether you are cheap or not.

let me give you a simple example on the Chinese rate - if you have 3-5 years experience and a uni degree, the average salary for those who work for companies like Tencent and Baidu is about $30-40k USD in cash and company share and options.

I am now eager to know the ibm salary provided to our lovely indian members.

Because unlike in India, Facebook,twitter, youtube,MSN etc are constantly banned in China to keep the ones like you Brainwashed ! So you have no other choice.. rather than using your own domestic ones.

When I was graduating my freinds were writing papers left right & centre . A lot of them went to EPFL and premier US univs and are pursuing higher studies adding more to the field of computing. You will see a lot of paper written by Indian students coming out of U.S . If I may say ,Just try to open up your mind a bit and you will see how indians have contributed to research in the software field.

Yes we guys are cheap as far as software development goes. And Chinese have loads of cheap labor and that is why you are a very big manufacturing hub. Lets make one thing very clear and that is that no company will migrate to any other place till it finds a competitive advantage in doing that. Strength of india is lots of brilliant people able to produce software at a cost lower than that of others ( including China, infact a software firm I worked for namely Sapient closed down its operations in China due to unavailability of good software developers and high costs.).
