Indian govt behind Mumbai Attacks: Satish Verma

:omghaha: we love seeing Indians basking in egg pudding .
Egg on the face syndrome is more dear to Pakistani members going by the past record.. A more recent case in point being a photoshopped image of Indian flag by an elite Pakistani member that got laughed out of the forum (the post that is) ;)

and oh yehhhhhh the one person is satish verma by the way who is this satishhhhhhhhh verma hopefully giving tough time to bharat verma :P

Wrong again.. Its someone else accusing Satish Verma of saying this. Satish Verma hasnt commented on this yet.. but as I said, it must be a good relief for folks like you after the recent spate of non anonymous revelations in Pakistani politics.. But then that's a story for another thread ;)

:D. Guess that does it then......Solid proof....watertight case.

:)))))) just like Sikh genocide of 84.

Does it matter if there is Solid proof ? 84 has 200% solid proofs you also know that but nothing happened. Sikhs are still looking for justice.

anyway :D enjoy the pudding i mean your head in pudding :D

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

84 was not a riot in which Hindus took part. It was Sikhs/Hindus vs Congress.

Bottomline no one other than few Pakistanis will care much about his statements. Does not matter that they think. ISI/PA/GOP knows its not true since Verma was never invited to planning meetings

Ishrat Jahan case: Is Satish Verma a crazed conspiracy theorist?

For days now, we’ve had various roseate accounts of the skills of Satish Verma, the Indian Police Service officer who served as lead investigator in the Ishrat Jahan Raza murder investigation. Ishrat Jahan’s mother, Shamima Kauser, has called him “diligent and honest”; one gushing media account even called him the “Sherlock Holmes of the probe”.

Now, there’s another portrait of Satish Verma on offer: a crazed conspiracy theorist, who thinks, among other things, that the Indian government staged the 26/11 attacks.

In a June 24 letter—which Firstpost is making available online—bureaucrat RV Mani has alleged that Verma sought to coerce him into signing a statement unsupported by evidence. Mani, who served at the home ministry at a time when it signed an affidavit suggesting Ishrat Jahan and the three men killed with her were terrorists, says the CBI is “coercing” him into “falsely indicting his seniors”.

This part is particularly riveting:

“He started narrating,” Mani’s letter states, “as to how the 13.12.2001 attack on [the] Parliament of India and 26.11.2008 attacks [on Mumbai] are orchestrated by the Government in power. He stated that both these were with the objective of strengthening the counter terrorist legislation. He narrated that 13.12.2001 was followed by POTA [Prevention of Terrorism Act] and 26.11.2008 was followed by amendment to UAPA [Unlawful Activities Prevention Act] wherein even and [an?] Rupees 10 in any body’s pocket can be treated for [as] proceeds of terrorism.”

“I told him he is entitled to his view.”

Mani’s Zen response to this nonsense suggests he is a mature, calm person. Verma is indeed entitled to believe what he wants. Perhaps he’s right, and everyone from the Mumbai Police, the National Investigations Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the United States government, and the United Nations Security Council are all involved in some giant plot to hide the truth about 26/11. Arundhati Roy, after all has, similar opinions, and we all know she is a robust empiricist.

I’ve a public opinion on these beliefs—and a private one, too, on the malign long-term effects of undergraduates smoking too much pot.

The point here, though, is this: a criminal investigation is not about beliefs, mine or anyone else’s. The CBI investigation, if Mani is right, may have been driven by deep-rooted biases which may have tainted the entire process. In recent weeks, the Intelligence Bureau’s Rajinder Kumar and the Gujarat Police’s PP Pandey have raised questions about Verma’s biases—arguing, among other things, that he harbours personal malice against them.
For the same reasons that we’d be sceptical about a well-known misogynist’s investigation of a rape case, or a committed bigot’s inquiry into a communal riot, we ought subject the CBI’s findings to very careful attention.

Now bias, in itself, doesn’t vitiate an investigation: it’s entirly possible a well-known misogynist might still fairly investigate a rape case, or a committed bigot a communal riot. It’s only too common, moreover, for suspects to claim the investigating officer is out to get them.

Mani, though, doesn’t have a dog in the race—and his letter, therefore, is of more than passing interest.

We don’t have the privilege of knowing whether the bureaucrat’s recollection of Verma’s comments are accurate, since Sherlock Holmes declined to comment on the issue. It’s time the CBI director, though, did some explaining.

The repercussion of this is that the Ishrat Jahan case is now unofficially closed. Nothing will come out, since the main investigating officer has come under doubt.

Lame excuse & wrong comparison, we are not at war with Afghanistan. we dont have comprehensive air defence cover on the western side like we do on eastern side. most of the assets were moved out after the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan.
want to read what happened to Soviet/ Afghan jets that intruded into Pakistan during cold war?

even if Pakistanis knew they would have stepped back, ignore the Jamat Islami & Talibanized journalists about what they say, it was Osama violating our sovereignty, Americans did something for us which over over-bloated , inept and jobsworth security agencies should have done themselves. (by the way if they had, Osama would have been walking out of the court smiling because of seamless record of our Judiciary against the terrorists.

also killing of Osama was victory against the smug terrorist leaders who post videos to tease the world. Mombai attacks on the other hand were a human tragedy.

multiple military helicopters were conducting an operation a mile away from your military head quarters . A helicopter crashed and its remains were blown up. Still Pakistani army didn't have a clue.

During the Mumbai attacks, a tiny Indian fishing boat was captured and used to travel to Mumbai so the coast guard wouldn't doubt. Unlike Kashmir and land borders, terrorist attack from the sea had never occurred before and hence their guard was relaxed.

It is perfectly logical to compare the incompetence of the defense in both these cases.

I wonder what @MastanKhan has to say about this.

Hi,

You know what I would say---. If it was up to me---I would have had the facial features of the Guy aka Ajmal Kasab on the video analyzed to be of jaangli punjabi ethnicity---and also to his family men----and also I would have hired ethnic voice specialists to analyze the voice of a jaangli punjabi speaking men to the voice of the so called Ajmal Kasab in the indian interrogation video.

A jaangli punjabi can never ever get the accent that the so called Ajmal Kasab had in the interview---. Secondly---under duress and stress---you accent converges towards your original accent---and as much as you have changed your speech pattern----your true mother tongue accent will come out.

My indian colleagues will never believe me---but I stand by what I have stated.

And its not attack tried to linked to Pakistan later found out its not that case.....

At end of the day just an allegation that too in third person.

An analogical equivalent to it would be, me claiming that Mav3rick told me last year, that "all terrorist attacks in Pakistan are done by ISI ."

Such a statement has more holes than swiss cheese, namely

1) I have no way of proving, Mav3rick said such a thing.

2) Mav3rick has no way proving his alleged allegation.

3) Mav3rick has/will deny, he said such, if directly asked.

So if I were to make such a statement, should it be considered as unequivocal truth or even a 'serious allegation' worthy of investigation' just on the face value of it??

You ignored 1 very important factor in the equation up there.......neither of us holds high profile intelligence/government jobs nor do we represent the Governments stance on this forum (atleast officially). Cause if we did hold important positions in the civil administration then our signed statements would be taken very seriously.

Come back when that happens. In the meantime, search for the "lost marbles"......

Because, the Hindu is more aware of our 'marbles' then we ourselves, right? It is becoming increasingly clear who never actually, like ever, had any marbles.
