Indian economy slowdown may hit Rafale deal!

I think deal can be hit but not due to crisis, becz of high rate & number can be cut upto 80-100.
It's a contract man!! And the IAF cannot afford not to get these planes!!

similar to Dotcom bubble.........Indian bubble....
May burst MMRCA bubble...back to flying coffins IAF.

If Pakistan can order few hundreds of JF-17 with it's dwindling economy, why not India which has slowed down, but still growing at the rate of more than 6%, can afford this deal? You better worry about your Pakistan's swelling of military spending with a weaker economy than worrying about the Indian purchase with India's growing economy...

title it self say "indian economy slowdown MAY hit rafale deal"

Right and what's Pakistan's excuse?? Effing troll.

The fundamentals haven't changed, this is but a blip in the narrative of India's economic growth story. I am doing my degree in Economics mate and let me tell you that India's long-term economic growth predictions have remained unchanged, the current issues are mostly down to external factors such as the Eurozone crisis, of course domestic issues are playing their part but this more irrelevant. Even your precious China is not immune and is suffering like India. India will still be in the top 5 economies by 2025 and the top 3 by 2045-50, this has not changed. When people are complaining of "only" 5.5% growth rate in FY2012-13 it says something about the country in question. Most independent sources concur with the GoI's internal projection of a return to 7-8% growth in FY-2013-14 and on.

come on..never open thread like this kind of wild speculation..just add it with Zaid Hamid Thread..

India may make some delay to give rupee some more times to recover before making this deal...but thats it..economical slowdown doesn't affect defence ministry as they gets their fund..economical slowdown or not..

i think some pdf members like SARFRIZ are going to be seriously miffed IF THE RAFALE deal is signed

. . . .
Man I can't wait for the day (this FY btw) when the MMRCAQ deal is signed and then what will you fools say?? "oh it's not over yet- India won't be able to pay for them and they will never be delivered??!!" Rafale- coming to the Indian skies soon- stop your jealous trolling.

.
Its not that I dont want Rafale but I am not sure as to why some people are so optimistic about the current Indian economy which may linger at about 5 to 5.5% growth which is not good since inflation is also high.

I have always supported higher defence budget but given the corruption levels and complete policy inaction by the current govt. India need to reduce the Rafale nos.

If the govt. fails to bring in reforms, India is going to have a tough time two quarters down the line.

.
One more point to remember is we dont have full capability to absorb TOT given by Dassault .

I hope someone hacks into Swiss banks and drains off all that billions back to RBI central account while disclosing the names of all the politician scum who accumulated it all.
