Indian Cities to See Fastest Growth in Asia Over Five Years

Revenue is almost equal to the total equity
It's in Billions to begin with. $20 Billion is a big sum.

And Revenue is not almost equal to equity. I can't find the equity of Tata, (Lazy to go through).

Equity consists of the net assets. net assets is the difference between the total assets and total liabilities.

Greenfield FDI
Yes I Know....Indian media like TOI and others will make it look like the total FDI where India is ahead and Indians will start believing it...this is the standard practice there.

Lesser poverty , lesser pollution , better roads , better Sanitation . BRT is already there since 4 years and orange line will be completed this year .

And how do you measure these, exactly ? any standardized data available ?

Better roads ? Have you seen the roads of Delhi NCR ?

Orange line at present is just 26 km.

.
Sure, anything that floats.

No rapid transit, no large airport...

New Lahore airport expansion is pretty big, construction to start this year. Obviosly not comparable to Delhi since they have huge domestic market.

You got to accept it Pakistan has better roads, this is universally acknowledged. Pakistan Motorways will touch 2000 kms in next 3 years. I can post a PDF link where the title reads like this 'Pakistan declared the best country in Infrastructure development'.

I accept India has better airports and Metros....

Indians should stop d!ck measuring contest with Pakistanis. Really sick. "Being Developed" more than Pakistan is no achievement. Our yardstick is China who have reached great heights from being the same with India 3 decades back. Comparing ourselves with Pakistan is self defeating.

We still have a lots of way to go. We have got no rights of boasting now. Lets work hard for next 2 more decades. Indians shouldnt become next Chinese in bragging and insulting other nationality.

India gets compared to Pakistan because of almost similar per capita figures in every department . How are you comparing yourself to China whose average income is 5 times bigger than you and how's infrastructure is atleast 50 years ahead ?

Coming from India to Pakistan (or the other way round), the first natural instinct is to compare and contrast things with home. At first glance, apart from the Urdu signage, not much seems to separate Karachi from Delhi. It is a cliché, but people are really like us—and once they know you are from India, can be uncommonly kind and generous.

Roads are rather wider and smoother actually—but traffic signals are not much more than polite requests. The motorway-like city roads of Islamabad might give you the false impression that you are in a developed country.

It didn’t have to be like that. A decade ago, Pakistan’s per capita income was still much higher, despite India’s vaunted growth story, reflecting a lead consolidated over the preceding four decades.

Even as some Indians enviously heard and read stories of fancy imported cars on Pakistani roads and lamented the pre-1991 socialist choices of our leaders, a closer look suggests that there was not much to differentiate between the two when it came to policy.

But these figures hide the heterogeneity in income levels within the country, and India continues to have a much higher percentage of its population living under poverty. The contrast is starker when it comes to incidence of absolute poverty, and India has a lot of ground to cover.

Delhi NCR has several intracity expressways.

Not a standardised measure, is it ?

I looked up passengers per year and Delhi alone has more traffic then all of Pak air ports. Obviously their domestic market is huge and people maybe like to travel by air with in India.

Anyway new Islamabad look nice. New Lahore and Peshawar are underway and after them new Karachi airport.

Problem with migration is that it is near saturation as it is. It can only decline.

Gulf will never again see the growth of the last decades - part due to shale oil and part due to alternative energy sources.

The backlash in EU has started already. It will be politically difficult for them to take more immigrants. They will make up for the shortage in labor with automation as far as possible.

Asia and South America still has plenty of poor themselves, so no need for import.

So where are you going to emigrate in the future? China maybe? Somehow I doubt it.

Have seen the pics of Delhi Noida and Delhi Gurgaon pics...they are good. I am talking about the whole of Pakistan. Also Mumbai Pune expressway is a death trap, so many fatalities there, not in good condition with blinding turns.

Also India ranks number one in road accident deaths about 100,000 deaths per year with about 3 lacs accidents the highest in the world, and Indian auto density is still the lowest in the world...one reason is bad roads.

Growth is all very well & welcome too.

Infrastructure must grow with matching mobility.

This morning it has taken me two & a half hours to reach Gurgaon , I could have reached Ambala in that much time.

I now dread its time to go back & traffic is only getting worse.
Rainy season bro...
