Indian Cities to See Fastest Growth in Asia Over Five Years

Lol that we called Delhi NCR, its not far way place as you think, as connected to Delhi itself....So you think that Old delhi is the delhi what we are calling?

He thinks, with one project they can achieve 7.5% growth.. and he ignores such projects in India.. real butt hurt, trolling in this thread with his macroscopic ego..

No rapid transit, no large airport...

Yes I agree, Delhi has better METRO and Lhr is under construction, actually 5 different Metro lines are planned in Lhr. Delhi Metro has already got 65 kms in length and into expansion.

Also Delhi T-2 is much better than Lhr current airport. Lhr is going for an expansion and new terminal.

New Lhr airport terminal.

...having said that, if you look at the residential areas of Lahore, the Bungalows and the clubs, apartment living is non existent in Lahore unlike Karachi and Isb, you will see that there are huge housing socities kept very clean, and green too, no garbage on main roads and different areas,

Lahore has proper solid waste disposal system, garbage collection and disposal system, command and control for the police. Delhi has many good residential areas and certainly more hotels and business complexes.

In some areas Lhr is better though. In business and commerce Delhi is bigger, but Lahore is expanding very fast. Delhi has the NCR region which gives impetus to it...Lhr not far behind...

So will you after you read Indian open defecation stats. Nobody can beat India there. India has gone a long, long way ahead on bum index. Even the Banglas are jealous of your cities.

Stop quoting me chamcha. Its an insult to Indians to have us compared to you. Pakistanis being least socially developed primitive religious bigots in whole of South Asia.

We have our problems and we will deal with it.

Delhi metro, route length- 218 km
Route under construction- 156 km (to be opened by 2018)

Same can be said about the gated housing societies of Delhi NCR

Lhr is going for an expansion and new terminal

Delhi Airport is planning a 4th runway & a new terminal and is on the way to overtake Heathrow in passenger traffic.

It has and is being built/extended

Sorry, BRT is bullshit for a large city.

Lahore is far more agreeable city then Delhi. Cleaner etc

Alright.

How many times have you been to Lahore? I know you're a Pakistani with a British passport, and that you visit Pakistan...albeit occasionally.
Im sure you do not know your own cities in Pakistan let alone the Indian ones. Lol
So stop blowing smoke ET.

Just to add Lahore has better BRTS system than Delhi with dedicated bus lanes, many kms of elevated lanes as well, Delhi BRTS has failed here, also seems to be into dismantling....

Lahore BRTS...

Send any link if you have which proves that Mumbai has a bigger GDP than Pakistan...which is written all over the internet by the delusional and indoctrinated neighbors...this is no rocket science here...

Mumbai got 300++ billion $ GDP, what you are doing is showing old statistics from map my India.. check financial express and Business standard..

Delhi doesn't need elevated BRTS at a higher cost, when we can have a much higher capacity metro rail.

ou can get the average looking at the car sales in India and Pakistan. In Pakistan car sales keeps on hovering around 240,000 to 285000 per year, including the local produced cars and imported ones, not the buses, trucks and 2,3 wheelers included but SUV's and CRV's added.

In India it keeps on moving from 17,00000 to 20,00000(that is 17 lacs to 20 lacs per year). Now that makes car sales in India about 6.5 to 7 times that of Pakistan and if you look at the population difference(India population at about 6.5 times that of Pakistan) the difference is negligible.

You seems to know nothing about GDP nominal and GDP PPP, Pakistan GDP PPP is now 1.1 trillion USD. many times bigger than Mumbai PPP GDP....of 360 billion USD.

BRTS are expensive. Not environment friendly. Especially for cities like Delhi where the vehicle density is relatively high. BRT can handle much less passenger traffic than Metro. (Cost effective way).

But, may be BRT is more feasible for Lahore if it handles less passengers. That is simply not the case with India.

It should be a mix of BRTS, Metro trains, buses normal and large length, double deckers, mono rails and as many public transport as possible....BRTS is much cheaper Lahore has costed 30 billion Rs, or 0.3 billion USD, Lahore Metro train is costing 2 billion USD for 26 Kms...huge excavations, at grade, and elevated infra is needed....

Check Singapore model, the ideal one...stop people from using motor cars with high taxes and encourage them to use public transport. Singapore has narrowed down roads and added green areas....

It's common mistake done by my fellow country men. They google stuffs. They are comparing Mumbai's PPP to Pakistans Nominal GDP.

Pakistan's PPP is 1.1 T while nominal is $360 Billion.

While if the sole purpose is trolling then - compare revenue which is $45Billion which is half of Tata's revenue.

But GOI total revenue is less than Samsungs.

Ignore such comparisons.
