My dear i want to compare with India and not the link...every country
The thing is If India has the 3rd largest rail network, the 3rd largest producer of electricity in the world...so on and so forth, the fact of the matter is India has the second largest population in the world, 1.37 billion people, a sea of humanity.
Will overtake China in 2022 to be the most populated country in the world...with a population of above 1.45 billion people.
Looked in that context Indian per capita income which ranks 131 in the world, per capita consumption of elecricity, one of the lowest in the world...so things started to look less than below average for India...again due to 2nd worst distribution of wealth in the world.
Pakistan is doing fairly good in all the sectors you have mentioned if you compare the 200 million population of Pakistan and 1.35 billion population of India.
-Pakistan has better distribution of wealth, about 7% in high income group in Pakistan compared to 3% of population in India in higher income group.
-India ranks 2nd in the world in worst distribution of wealth, the reason you see Islands of wealth in few hands and a sea of poverty and disease.
-India has more multi dimensional poverty than Pakistan according to UNICEF, IMF.
- India has the largest number of adult illiterates in the world.
- India has more poor than all of sub saharan Africa.
- More people die in India from diseases like TB, Cholera, Aids, than the many of the African countries put together.
- 15 of the most polluted cities in the world from a list of 22 cities are in India.
-In Delhi about 8 children-adult dies daily due to air pollution.
The crux, the gist of the matter is that India is developing, but the fruits of that development is restricted, shared by a tiny minority, could be as less as 10% of the population. Pakistan as of now has less GDP growth than India but the fruits of development, the wealth distribution, due to zakat donation, and many other factors is much better than India.
Accumulation of wealth in India in few hands for a number of factors. Caste creed based politics and socio economic practice is also a major reason. Pakistan doesn't has this extra baggage.
I can cite many economic factors where Pakistan is ahead....
If pakistan so great why pakistani's want to become indian citizens,
f pakistan so great why pakistani's want to become indian citizens,
Coal production India vs pakistan- 173 times
Yeah. Distribution was completely neglected in India. However in the last 4 years we have invested massively in distribution. And continuing to do so. We have now achieved one nation one grid(which means electricity from any region in India can be taken to absolutely any other region in India) and in the coming 5 years, our distribution system would completely change again. Massive capacity additions happening.Coal production and coal run power plants in India is one of the reason for smog and pollution related deaths in India, 65% of power in India is produced in India through coal by obsolete coal plants...this should not be a reason for pride.
Also the power production capacity and actual production are different. Gujarat may have more production capacity but it is not producing the power because there are no transmission lines and no buyers...Adanis power has talked about this.
That's actually a bad indicator. A larger percentage of Pakistani population is employed overseas than India. It means the country has failed to provide enough jobs at home.-Also I didn't mention Remittances, Pakistan got about 20.5 billion USD last year and India about 62 billion USD. Pakistan is doing better in percentile. In India remittances are declining, from 70 billion USD to 62 billion USD last year, no such decline in Pakistan, negligible decline in Pakistan.
