A pakistani general is complaining to the UN security forces---a swedish UN officer is visiting the frontline---late 80's early 90's---.

One could simply ask, India on one hand is always accusing Pakistan for ceasefire violations, yet according to Indians, Pakistan suffers the most, yet Pakistan still carries out the violations.
The most ridiculous aspect of Indian claims is that while it's no secret that Indian soldiers outnumber the Pakistani troops with a 3:1 ratio, when was the last time the Indians admitted more than a single causality on any given day, yet they always claim in no less than six Pakistani casualties after every clash. I guess that's what happens when you are reading from a script for the audience.

The score is not kept on a daily basis. It is tackled over a period of time. The usual deal after an incident of firing which results in casualties is that both sides become more alert. That limits opportunities for inflicting damage. Then the opportunity is looked for in another possibly adjacent area where the other side may not be as alert and then action is taken or failing that, after some time elapses, then a response is given.

In the 80's / 90's---a 1000 yards shot was an extremely extra ordinary marksmanship.

Now---every other jack can do it.

No paksitanis never bragged that we are the first ones to start sniper firing, @Areesh has mentioned it before indian posters many times, when they cry about pak using sniper shots, that indian army had been using snipers since 90s . So no theres no bragging involved. And loc is too messy to think only one party has employed a war tactic, both the sides use every possible means to undermine each other. Its just that offlately we started using more snipers as heavy shelling was causing iok civilians deaths.

But what makes me wonder is that why they are not using them anymore?

I think that poster weekly kills 7-8 pak rangers on twitter and indian forum. Btw our forces deloyed along loc in ajk region are not called rangers afaik.

Instead of feeling good over some media tweet or random news article, our forces should do something. We are loosing men (both civilian and military) at alarming pace. India has successfully dragged us into multiple low level LICs.
We have lost more officers and men, then all the wars combined in our history. If I go with official figures, we have lost 1.5 division equivalent in this WoT. We have lost Lieutenant General rank officers. We have lost billions of dollers worth of equipment. And if we kill 2 of their ranks on LoC, same day we lost 10 soldiers in Balochistan, FATA or Karachi.
We cant even provide security to a poor woman and her daughter, working for a mere Rs. 300/per day polio campaign. We cant even save lives of poor women, working in field at LoC.

What are we bragging about?

Sorry for being candid and hurting feeling of anyone. I am disappointed
