Indian Brahmos missle crashes in Mian Channo

No Air defense system can stop a cruise missile be it HQ 9 or S400. So most we can do it is to drop an empty warhead missile into Indian side in coming weeks.

very soon there will be multiple IAF aircraft crashing inside Indian borders (120km) radius due to technical problems in coming days.

Just wondering, would we have let it come in that deep if it was nuclear-tipped?

No, basically a manufacturing defect or as @dbc chided the Glonass satellites are being screwed around with these days.

Which brings up the question, what/who were they aiming for in those grids?
Some were saying there are land under tge possession if hafeez said.
Maybe, but who knows

1. This was not a test system.
Call it confirmation bias but the missile was silver and not the chequered paintjob that they've been using for tests. So interesting yes.

2. It was not ground launched.
3. This was not an accidental launch.
4. There are no NOTAMS for any such test in the area.
Most concerning.

5. Indians are not claiming to have hit us, so what was meant by a single Brahmos sent over? If they went after a target of opportunity, did they change minds and put it down at the last moment? Or did the missile went awry .. and crashed (Brahmos has done it in the past)? And hence not claiming it.
The most likely scenario. A Brahmos coming to Pakistan was no accident.

6. PA seems to be offering them an off-ramp again, since there were no casualties on ground.
Yes. Let's see what the Indians do.

A couple of scenarios come to mind
1. Test fire that failed and the missile veered off course to crash where it did(however the deliberate flight path doesn’t validate this theory)

2. Indians attempting a surgical strike with the Brahmos(idiotic considering what Pakistan had as a response the last time) but the missile malfunctioned. The crater suggest just a kinetic impact and explosion consistent with a 250-300kg warhead in that the entire missile was blown to smithereens.

3. Testing of Pakistani defenses - A brahmos was launched to see reaction and response time which ISPR in some ways demonstrated showing how well Pakistan can track any of these systems.

Tell you this , their foreign office is having a panic attack as well. They were kept in the dark about this.

Do we have a rogue Indian commander? That would be a great story to run that Indian nuclear weapons and launch systems are no longer secure

These two.. are EXTREMELY important points. At the same time, we've to keep in mind that after Balakot, anything is within the realm of possibility. What was unthinkable before, even when we prepared for it, is not so much any more. We're dealing with a gov that's willing to take risks.
Seriously!

Also, I completely agree with the point that the missile was armed, a 250kg warhead would do to the missile, what we're seeing at the end of it. There's barely anything left of the missile, it did not seem like a controlled / dummy warhead crash. This also explains the twin-explosions that eye witnesses have heard.
Pakistan trying to deescalate like always because we've got a crazy neighbor. I really hope our foreign office can make something of this, but I doubt it because of the lack of Pakistan's international clout and the usual attitude of our foreign office.

So, you're suggesting this was a deliberate hit sent our way.. and it accidentally went off course? That's the only plausible explanation left. And probably why they are not claiming it. But a single missile would mean a target of opportunity or what?

So you're saying, there is no need to spend money on ADs because yo cant stop crusise or SS missiles WOW! great logic

Either that or the Indians would have to be idiotic to send what is a first strike system at which Pakistan was ready to lob Shaheen-2s back at them based on shoddy intelligence.

But then, they are no longer led by sane people. @Joe Shearer - not to put you in a pickle but the messaging with this weapon system crosses red lines pretty sharply so that leadership on top really must be nuts.
