Now the question is, why our Air Defense didn't intercepted it. Where were all the assets recently inducted and otherwise? Or we lack the capability?

Before, people start giving the "we didn't wanted to show our capability" excuse, what if the missile was armed? Before impact, we didn't knew that it wasn't. So it should have been assumed to be armed and intercepted as soon it entered our airspace.

International flight routes could have shot down an international flight by mistake.

Even patriots and iron done work by ignoring targets that are not a threat and will fall harmlessly .

They were trying to asses HQ 9 ...if that was not a mistake and error

those who are talking about why air defense units have not engaged it. first, this missile remain airborne for 3 min inside Pakistan territory. in those 3 mins PAF had to identify the object and then devise action according to it. if u listen to AVM speech clearly he said the object faded. further our air defense batteries only cover military installation and facilities. Maybe they were ready to intercept it, but missile impacted the ground before interception. the path of missile, on indian side, toward firing range clearly shows it was intended to hit target but due to error it change its direction. lastly not firing an interceptor missile, on object at 48k ft with commercial filghts in the area, is a wise decision.

At 40,000 feet, even though that is high, the PAF doesn’t want to mistakenly shoot down an airliner, as the Indian tried to trick Pakistan into doing a few years ago.

They most probably gauged our air defence response. They might attack our installation preemptively in next escalation or surgical drama. Whatever it was our respone and dg ispr explanation are dubious.

Explanation business should better be left for the diplomats .

War is very very serious and should not be taken lightly. The loss of human lives should be avoided (but offcourse not at any cost....). So hence the demand of an explanation with and expiry date. If no plausible explanation is given you respond. Acting after a clear and wise analysis should always be the norm.

Apparently a super sonic missile fired from India landed in Pakistan, yesterday; unarmed.


No mention of any shot down, it simply hit the ground. Besides, I doubt we have the ability to shoot down something moving at MACH 3.

It seems India was testing our response time and capabilities (specially HQ-9 & LY-80) to intercept high speed objects, it may have been done by getting green signal from West.
