Mr. bangBRo said once other thread that war against China will be a long one, with munitions for only 2 days, dude you gonna ought to find a better strategy to fight a war of Attrition against China and refine your theory of long duration battle...
It's really hard to understand you people.
When any Indian media writes something -ve about your country, you people get all worked up saying- Indian media this, Indian media that. But when they have something negative to say about India itself, their word suddenly becomes the final truth & impeccable. :hitwall:

well if your military really thinks ..Indian armed forces have 2 days of ammo ,,, you are welcome to attack anytime of the day.., he probably asking for speedy decisions by indian ministries ...nothing else..

When a war starts with pakistan, Our Israeli friends will send tons of Ammo immediately.

 Incredible Indian psyche revealed. A nation of over a billion behaves in a sycophantic way to a nation of 4 million who itself relies on charity to assist in security matters. Back to topic either Indian army chief is a liar and not a good liar at that or Indian procurement is incompetent

Indian still need to Buy ammunition from overseas?

Yes Indian attempts at indigenous production has been a failure when compared to a country of a similar size say like China

Ordnance Factories Board ... 40 big scale factories spread all over india...

just for ammunition ..

DRDO.. employee strength . more than 35000 ... around 60 labs
and thr are plenty of labs come factories which also manufacture all under MOD

rest private companies which are taking good amount of share ... now a days..

You are overestimating India.

Yes I agree with you. India compared to a country of its own size like China has failed miserably in armament production and or procurement eg still flying 1960's jets like mig 21's

then shortage means IA or DM failed to purchase on time?

and wat you think majority of planes of chinese air force are from.. 50s... :) ..

Whats wrong here? Why is the Gen writing this letter NOW when he's about to retire? He had his whole tenure as COAS to consider and act upon such shortcomings, if any.
This report for ammo lasting two days is simply too absurd to believe.

I agree its incredibly silly of the Indian chief to suggest that Incredible India has only munitions for 2 days.

Whatever delusions help you sail your boat and your national "self-esteem", if any left!

Why are you going off topic. If what the Indian army chief suggested is true then there is some incredible incompetence on the part of Indian authorities

 even a country in our neighborhood who has having 100 days of ammunition did nothing when their soldiers were bombarded with impunity by NATO. It is better to have no ammunition if you don't to use it...grow a pair first.

Are you really THAT thick? You keep ranting the same line over and over again. Believe whatever you want to, your delusions do not matter.

i dont think thr are shortage of ammo available in huge depots that army has..
thr may be a journalistic error.. or general must be referring to some separate module of arms needed ...

thr are delays in bureaucratic processes.. army before every financial year start checks which ammo type is needed and takes account of future shortages ... it takes around a month after that it goes to .. MOD for clearance.. and after that it goes to Financial ministry and after that it comes back to MOD and MOD issues tenders to varous ordinance boards and best suited once get the contract... pretty long process... but indian army has big underground storage for ammo where ammo expires before being used... thr might be a chance that we were not able to clear up the expired ammo in army exercises.. and automatically it comes under non usable ammo .. so General wants all these processes to be optimized... but with no luck... after this General goes to media

Personal attacks are a sign that you are the one that is missing the point and in denial. Just accept Indian incompetence in matters of procurement

i don't see media error here more then 50 news agencies report it sir. i think there is mismanagement by MOD and general is angry on it .
