Indian Army now has 1400 T-90 main battle tanks

General Manager of HVF Avadi Shri Ajay Kumar informed the media today that the tank factory will roll out it's 745th T-90 by end of this month. He added that this is in addition to around 650-660 T-90s recieved directly from Russia.

With this the total number of T-90s with India will reach 1400.

The factory is set to roll out 140 T-90s in the upcoming financial year.
HVF has achieved 80% indigenous rate in T-90 MBTs.

In between 2009-Mar 13 only 225 T-90 were built.
But production picked up pace since then and every year a 100 were produced.
In 2014 MoD approved to increase the annual production to 140 MBTs/year and the factory produced 119 T-90s in 2017-18 Financial year.
