Yes he represents Indian Military and was promoted by them to the rank of 2 star general. Abdul Basit was non military and may have made a mistake once but this mans whole twitter TL is riddled with same chutyapas.

Absolutely, I agree. People should not fall for such things on social media. While our general didnt make anyone famous, that Abdul Basit guy, the Pak ambassador did help Johnny Sins to get some followers on Twitter. Mr Sins even thanked Basit for this wonderful gesture:

You must understand that some guys will fall for anything as long as it kinda 'proves' their own stance. Be it Indian or anyone, people do such things.

I have one classic example of Pakistani Maliha Lodhi who made a drastic blunder in a place where the whole world was present. Yes, the United Nations!
She showed a pic of Palestinian victim by branding it Kashmiri!
