Indian Army major Caught spying for PAK

This is nothing.India once accused whole Indian army brigade of spying for Pakistan.
Samba, Jammu is a sleepy town in the Jammu region in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. It borders Pakistan.

Between August 24, 1978 and January 23, 1979, 50-odd persons who had worked in the 168 Infantry Brigade and its subordinate units at Samba, 40 km from Jammu on the international border, were arrested on charges of spying for Pakistan at the instance of the Directorate of Military Intelligence (MI). Its investigations involved practically the whole officer cadre of the Brigade. Those arrested included a Brigadier, three Lieutenant Colonels and a number of Majors, Captains, Junior Commissioned Officers ( JCOs), Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) and personnel of other ranks, plus 11 civilians who had worked in the Samba sector. They were all taken into custody at the instance of two self-confessed Pakistani spies who worked as gunners in the Indian Army - Sarwan Dass and Aya Singh. In December 1994, Sarwan Dass swore an affidavit and appeared at a press conference to admit that he had falsely implicated the men. In December 1990, Aya Singh was shot - while crossing the India-Pakistan border.

^^^^^ The same goes for the reverse as well....

Only difference is, our Pakistani moles seem to be better at staying undercover....

Hmm....Maybe Pakistan needs to do a better job at recruting more efficient moles....LOL!!

Or maybe Pakistan's MI keep giving false information to moles so they give wrong information to Indians..like this
* (1980) ISI had placed a mole in the Soviet Union's embassy in Islamabad. The mole reported that the Third Secretary in the Soviet Embassy was after information in regard to the Karakurum Highway and was obtaining it from a middle level employee, Mr. Ejaz, of the Northern Motor Transport Company. ISI contacted Mr. Ejaz who then confessed that a few months ago the Soviet diplomat approached him and threatened his family unless he divulged sensitive information in regard to the highway such as alignment of the road, location of bridges, the number of Chinese personnel working on the Highway, etc. The ISI instead of confronting the Soviet diplomat chose to feed him with false information. This continued until the Soviet diplomat was satisfied that Mr. Ejaz had been bled white of all the information and then dropped him as a source.[10]

Well I it's from a book..Profiles of Intelligence by Brig Syed A.I. Tirmazi. who is a retired ISI Officer. It is also listed on Pakistan's ISI page on wikipedia.
Brigadier S.A.I. Tirmazi, in Profiles of Intelligence unveils some of the counter-intelligence operations undertaken by the Directorate General Inter Services Intelligence, in its home ground. Whatever little has been revealed, presents the portrait of a patriotic, committed, well trained and a highly efficient team under the dynamic and untiring directorship of Tirmazi.

Army officer's computer hacked: govt
New Delhi: An Army investigation has found that the information e-mailed from a Major’s computer was a case of "cyber security breach" and not espionage, said Defence Minister A K Antony on Friday.
"It is a case of alleged misuse of computer by an officer of the Army. The moment we got information, the government took action and we ordered an inquiry. The Army itself ordered the inquiry, which is still going on," he said in New Delhi.
"One thing is clear, established (that) there is a clear case of breach of cyber security. That is proven beyond doubt."
Antony was replying to questions about the investigation against the officer, who is posted in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and from whose computer critical information was allegedly e-mailed to a Pakistani agent.
Noting that the officer was questioned by the Army and security agencies, Antony said nothing else has been proved so far. "They have not got any proof (on espionage)," he said.
Hacking was a "serious problem" and there were many complaints that computers containing sensitive information in various organisations had been hacked.
"After that, the government as a whole and the Defence Ministry in particular has taken sufficient precautionary
steps to prevent this kind of misuse and hacking," he said.
