I think India deserves a better defense minister. God knows the forces do.

Yeah i heard it but i don't just go and blindly believe in everything what Indian news agencies says. I think now its time for LUHs becuase it looks like HAL has also given up...God knows what they are waiting for ?? Its the 4th year now since the HAL showed up the mock-up of LUH but not even one flight of LUH yet....WTF are these people doing ?? Waiting for another licence to produce product ??

I will not take childish insults lightly.

Fighting corruption is one thing, completely shutting down procurement when the threat level in our part of the world is skyrocketing is another.

Our troops deserve the best equipment today, considering they are being asked to prepare for a two front war against two very militarized nuclear powers. Shutting down the process because of anonymous letters (M777), losing bidders complaints (197 luh), and sheer laziness (no tenders for AA guns) is madness.

At the rate Anthony is moving, India's military will continue to have massive holes in their capabilities for at least another 5 years. What if India is attacked and defeated by better prepared, and equipped foes (China comes to mind)?

Will a better procurement procedure bring back the soldiers who died because they lacked basic equipment?

Will a better procurement procedure regain the territory lost to the enemy?

Will a better procurement procedure wash away the humiliation and fear such a defeat would cause to the national psyche?


Think about it carefully.


ending xorruption is important, but not at the cost of combat capability. The procurement process should be fixed, while the forces receive the kit they need, simultaneously.
