Indian Air Force's Su-30MKIs suffer 34 mid-air engine failures in two years

What about su 30 mk2? Any info?
They hardly involved in most of the training. Most of them are in the hangar. They are gradually replaced by J-16 and JH-7A for maritime strike and patrol. So far, no accident involved.

First Put the Source of this Claim. Red-flag is Latest Talk Present

Secondly Currently India Operate Fleet Of 242 MKI's That's 484 Engines at time & 34 Engine Failures in 2 years is Not Much to Worry in that Sense

PlaaF have Much Worse Record Against Al-41 Engines in their J-10
I think Indian failure in engine maintenance . If look at Russia fleet, never heard of any SU30 failure yet. Russian using same plane in Syria for the last one year and found no free fall or engine breakdown. So, it must be ground maintenance issue.

Because they Have Local LRU's of Every Spare It is Origin Country How Many Su-30 Do Russia Actually Operate

LooK At Failure Rate of AL-41 in Plaaf & Crashes Related to It

Its little technical debate, because Russia made this engine for specific type of plane and Chinese use this engine for their own developed model. So, Chinese issues with J10 is totally different scenario.
