You go back 40 years, we can go back to 2020 and discuss this. Your troops had far, far better odds. What happened? Senior Indian army staff were also captured having surrendered.

Getting captured is common thing in war, many soldiers get captured alive in skirmishes. Our military had not signed an instrument of accession to them. Even in current Russia-Ukraine war many soldiers on both sides got captured while fighting, its pretty normal.

Yes they were captured after surrendering. You cited the Russia/Ukraine conflict, the recent fall of Mariupol had 1,000 Ukrainian soldier surrender and were taken captive by the Russians.

The article hints that another new type of fighter aircraft might be added to join fleet. My guess MRFA would be jointly won by 2 aircrafts, we'll go with 4 more squadrons of Rafales and 2 squadrons of latest F15 variants which was offered just 1 week back by US
Rafales will be winning for sure

Why didn't they buy full amount of Rafales at the first place? Buying more seems like the logical step to make.

It's a good fighter with potent weaponry.
