No one "put their people to slaughter" - these people reside in the same places they have for centuries - that the Indian military has killed more civilians than the Pakistani military only points to the lack of restraint and indiscriminate attacks on civilian population centers by the Indian military, and is a poor reflection on them.

If you are so sure that Pakistan has military superiority over India...why use non-state actors and terrorism in India. Just fight a war and claim J&K or Ghazwa-e-hind. Why sit in the lap of the USA and cry every time you get a beating. It keeps happening every now and then...but you fail to learn from your misadventures.

That Modi has been forced to back down after the recent spate of warnings from the Pakistani government only highlights the fact that Modi knew all along that there was very little he or the Indian Army/BSF could do to inflict significantly higher damage on the Pakistani Army/Rangers than what they themselves would suffer.

India does not have military superiority over Pakistan in the context of the current clashes - Indian military superiority comes into play in the context of a larger scale war involving infantry, armor and especially air-power. Localized conflicts like the most recent one involve small arms and light/medium artillery and in those fields India has no military advantage over Pakistan.
