What's new

Indian $2bn LoC terms remain unsettled

. .
.
one question - how much term time left for hasina?

.
Bangladesh / Hasina went for it , India did not force upon us
so if we receive the money we should do what India says that is normal

yes China would have been far better or even Japan but she didnot go out for them
We would never get a fair deal under Hasina from India. She would make sure. We ask for only them $7 for every truck that passes through Bangladesh, only for them to make cattle trade illegal near the border.

Also, there has been no news of the Chinese Investment that was proposed, because the clearance has to come from New Delhi.

Investments from Europe and Middle East (Hasina ruined the relationship between our government and theirs) has declined too.

India has 276 million people starving. More than the population of Bangladesh. Yes, thus you are right.

194 Million People Starved for Food in India in 2014-2015, Maximum in the World According to UN Report

illiterate Bangladeshis wouldn't use percentages,I know

The 55th position in 2014 of India is better than Pakistan (ranked 57) and Bangladesh (57), but trails behind Nepal (44) and Sri Lanka (39).

India 55th on global hunger index, lags behind Nepal, Lanka - The Times of India

You are 55th and call yourselves a "Super power", where as "beggars" are just 2 place down. Ranking 2 place down isn't a big deal but having 200 million hungry people is.

A country having 10,000 people and 8,000 of them suffering hunger (80%) is better than one having a population of 1.1+ billion and having 200 million people suffer from hunger.

She is a dictator by legal framework. No election can down her. There will be election after 3 and half years.
3 and half years :what:
by that time Bangladesh would be a state of India :(

.
she is a dictator? when are the elections dude?-
2019. She said that her son will take over then. The AL supporters don't rate him as her and he can't really milk the "Bangabandhu" cow as much as her. Difference is the Zia legacy is dead but the Mujib is alive. If someone comes and can takeover BNP (not Tariq), forms an alliance and tries a different angle than Zia, AL can be overthrown with proper propaganda (Khaleda never seem to understand that).

Also, her (Hasina) stance of not punishing those who hurt religious sentiment (there's a law in Bangladesh) will only make the Muslim population against her.

Your fears are unwarranted.... BD have gone through worse period in its history.... We will survive BAL scums too.

The problem is BNP is disunited and broken.... Until a credible opposition emerges or SHW dies BAL will be in power.

The excesses of BAL scums across the country is leading to growing anger. There is a possibility that grassroots political movement will unsit them. Once BAL is out of power they won't return for a generation.

BD economy is private sector lead. The average Bangladeshi has little to do with politicos. It matters not who is in power. Above all as a nation we demand stability and BAL through means foul have given that. But if the people can be energised on a topic then BAL days are numbered. We saw BAL running for cover when people opposed construction of a new airport in Dhaka . BAL commands no more that 15% core support, it's not enough to keep a dictatorship going.
