Bravo to the lady! Saving her daughter. I have to say though it could have been a great deal worse had it been a Salt Water Crocodile, the species makes India its home as well.

1. Now Indian PM Narender Modi once had fight with croc, he puts it on his back in his school days. Later on Become CM of Gujarat and now Indian PM.

2. Current Cm of Gujarat Smt. Anandiben Patel had started her carrier as Teacher. Later when she took he class to picnic they find crocodile in river. She saved 1 girl from its jaws. Later on, Govt. Of India awarded her highest peacetime gallantry award. Now she is Cm of Gujarat.

In Gujarat, I am from Ahmedabad and we all know vishwamaitri river is infested with crocs. Same holds true with Amreli and other districts near GIR. They all infested with lions. At night, it is common sight on Amreli state highway seeing prides. They all get habituated with human inhabitants around. seldom it happens they attack.

You are lucky it is lions. Elephants for some odd reason seem to attack humans more even though they are herbivores. It is not unknown for elephants to form a gang and like a bunch of homies from the hood attack the nearest human settlement.

You keep refusing to read what I posted. The crocodile that is dangerous in the Sunderbans is the saltwater croc & not the Mugger. These are not simply personal anecdotes, not like I was doing something crazy. The boatmen on the Kali river are not stupid, they specifically point out that the Mugger has not been known to attack humans.

I think the quote clarifies it. Australian salt water crocs are known to be the largest and the most psychotic.

Actually the quote is very specific. It says as far as we know, that this 23 footer was the largest crocodile. Others may exist, who's to rule it out but none have been measured to be larger.
