I don't think BJP wrote that@claoud9, Yes as u said. looking at the price of chicken calulating the loss of selling egg. ha ha...
BJP should be blamed more than congress.
India to establish nuclear reactor that uses Thorium as fuel: Atomic Energy Commission - Times Of IndiaSpeaking to reporters in the sidelines of the first graduation ceremony of National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Sinha said the country already has the technological know-how to use thorium. However, for large-scale use of thorium, the country will need two decades. "We have to assess the thorium-powered reactor on various aspects in the long-term before replicating similar models in bigger ways," the AEC chief said.
I dint know if there is a scam here but what ever has happened and is happening is because of us, the tolerance level we have as the citizens of this country is very high, we just keep cribbing and bruding and then we forget about it. The best we can ever do is vote the next guy in knowing he is no saint.
Where is all this going to end or will it ever?
Oh don't be sad.
You will never be able to build thorium based reactors.
This is not a scam - it is your salvation.
The requirement for extracting large amounts of thorium won't arise.
Lol our thorium will be built and will be the best in world. No doubt. But what has pakistan built til date in nuclear physics. First gen reactors with everything provided by china lolllll
India is just getting better and better.....
India’s Kakrapar-1 reactor is the world’s first reactor which uses thorium rather than depleted uranium to achieve power flattening across the reactor core. India, which has about 25% of the world’s thorium reserves, is developing a 300 MW prototype of a thorium-based Advanced Heavy Water Reactor (AHWR).
The prototype is expected to be fully operational by 2011, following which five more reactors will be constructed. Considered to be a global leader in thorium-based fuel, India’s new thorium reactor is a fast-breeder reactor and uses a plutonium core rather than an accelerator to produce neutrons. As accelerator-based systems can operate at sub-criticality they could be developed too, but that would require more research. India currently envisages meeting 30% of its electricity demand through thorium-based reactors by 2050.
Kindly read the FIRST LINE....Especially.
Mate, FBR's are still in their infancy. It will take sometime before commercial scale application.^ Posting off topic posts doesn't make your point strong rather show your incompetence to discuss. Still the answer is- He was caught for his crime. He will be sent to juvenile detention center and his family won't be beaten by mob unlike some other country, if you know whai I mean.
Its a prototype. Due you know the difference between a prototype and operational machine.
Let me explain China's J-20 and Russia's Pak Fa aircrafts are prototype, not a finished product. It will take few more years to roll out Final Product.
BTW having a fully operational PROTOTYPE of thorium based reactor is way better than WATER Car and we didn't go nuts over it even then unlike others, you know who.
Now be on topic. Don't derail the thread.
