India unhappy with construction of Dams on Brahmaputra

A sajish, China is building Dams over new areas close to India and this makes them unhappy because we can see that China is moving ahead of India and there is no chance India can compete China at all.

It's not like they're not going to have any water though. I mean, the point of a hydroelectric dam is to funnel water through turbines and come out the other side. Unless I'm missing something, and by all means correct me if I'm wrong, the water is going to come out the other side and continue along it's course.

Correct, but how much flows and when it flows can be controlled and that is where the issue comes up. Will enough water flow through when it is needed or other side with control it as a economic weapon. India on other hand in IoK is trying to diverge flow of water towards India thus drying up or limiting the amount to Pak River(s).

Now can Pakistan tunnel that water through mountains / valleys to Pak side ?
