India turns down US plans to counter China

^^^ that's not proper answer....i said without solving disputes with neighbors how can china question US status...... i made my points....
1. having disputes with neighbors is major set back to any country... in this matter US is always ahead of china or any other country....
2. US got large no of allies , there many major allies in ASIA too... now vietnam inching close towards US.... what kinda position china have regarding in this issue....
3. they build missile defence shield all over EU etc.... which means to stop any missle pointed towards US..... china got 0....
4. even china is not behaving maturely.... unable to understand what is US stance...... behaving rudely with small countries... not giving importance to any other country except Russia, pakistan..... they are thinking low and weak about other countries..... that mindset is very dangerous......
5. we heard china exported counterfeit equipments to US ..... and do you guaranty, that chinese weapons will rolled out without any counterfeit equipments....

Let's try looking at East Asia on the issue of territorial disputes and other external powers.
In contrast to previous years, now the trend of East Asia is what?
It's like the Japanese want Americans leave their territory, Koreans want to take command their army before pushing Americans leave their country, Taiwanese gradually leaning China, Filipinos removed US military base, Vietnamese kicked American out the country...
But now? And Why? Nothing other than the issue of territorial disputes.
And who caused this? Clearly, the stupid guys.

.
Yes indeed, the disputes are the main cause of disunity, especially amongst the maritime nations in east/southeast asia. News of growing military spending, allowing fleets of fishermen to work in foreign waters, harassment of other ships of trespassing over sovereign waters, the usual. The only choices the smaller asian nations have is either give up their resources, or be stifled. Most of those nations are not as strong as India. So they take the third option, and ask for help from the west.

.
Yes, the problem between rich and poor is a challenge for Asia, but it is not the greatest.
I think the biggest problem of Asia is still the territorial disputes issue. This issue is all over Asia.
It is the issue between Pakistan and India, India and China, Japan and China, Japan and Korea, Korea and China, Vietnam and China, China and the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia etc.
From the territorial dispute led to mutual distrust, the arms race, seeking power balance ...
Then there is room for external powers (arms sales, military presence, dance ...)
Smaller and weaker Asian nations have no choice. China is far too powerful to stop. Within 10 years, our economic power will exceed USA, the dollar will be like the British pound sterling (a former world standard), and USA's power projection will be a shadow of its former self.

Within 10 years, China will have at least 4 aircraft carrier battle groups patrolling the Asian littorals and Western Pacific.

There are no "territorial disputes" between China and any other nation. There are other nations sitting on Chinese territory. That is all. China can take it back the easy way or we can do it the hard way!

.
^^ again started...... My god....... Then china is no different from US..... May be US is some what better............Waste of time......

The hard way being the megatons, which were supposed to fall on us some 3 months ago?

Blah
Even if they get that rusting piece of crap, fully operational, China still has years to go before it even develops doctrines to operate it's carriers. Something which can be only done by learning and gaining experience, not by stealing and copying or buying a rusting piece of junk by deception.

I know, China is still trying to pretend "peace" to have more times. When China is strong enough, first she will invade by force the areas where her "claims", then she will enslave nationals whole Asia. I know it.

. . .
Any surprise, since India sees slowing economic growth, and the fact that any militarization in and around India will create more instability.

.
It depends, if China keep treats India like boss doing to slaves [look down] then I think India will allows U.S Military base in India. With India to China for now is 9 - 10. With U.S Military base in India the percents increasing for India will be 20 - 10.

However, stop looking down from Chinese to India it seems to be the hardest thing to do for Chinese/China due to their single minded so-called GREAT HAN'S.

Maybe, a big country like India will never allow any foreign military base. However, the cuddle between China and Pakistan that makes her take precautions. And should be.

It's preposterous and childish to talk wars today unless you belong to the US/NATO camp who are the only ones have the power, audacity and influence to start a war. China is far from being one and she never had a history of being an expansionist. She only fought for those lands that she though were rightly hers.

The SCS disputes, the reason it's called disputes because no one has recognized the ownership of any those islands belong to anyone including the 6 claimant, are not sovereignty territorial expansions for China but rather reclaim her territories, ditto the other 5 claimants. So any skirmishes, if they ever do occurred, will be limited within the area of dispute and are unlikely expand to their respective home land.

The skirmishes here are not only limited to China again someone as most forumers here perceived rather they could be any of the 6 against any of the other 5. In another word even if China is not involved here the other 5 claimants will still be locking horns with each other.

So let say if China withdraws any involvement in SCS today can anyone here guarantee there will be no more fights for the islands tomorrow in these areas. I can assure you the fights will still go among the other 5 claimants but, of course, with less sensationalism and publicity because China is not involved.

How convenience for those to blame China alone to hide their own ambitions.

 buddy, what do u mean by India will never allow any foreign military base?

india even hates it when outside powers try to establish bases even in the neighborhood.

like sri lanka for eg. US tried to establish a base there, so india tried to spilt the country covertly for almost a decade.

I hope what you say is true. Never stop hoping for a nice thing.
