India trying to occupy Bangladesh territory

Sea gull
Hi, what is there to back off from? It is common knowledge that the water levels in the Padma/Ganga have been affected by the Farakka. Who can deny that? But do we have to use foul language to establish that? My objection was to someone's strong and objectionable language.
BTW, the worse is still to come. When China executes its Tsangpo/Brahmaputra project, the entire Brahmaputra will dry up with nothing coming to India or BD. India and BD should start talking on the water sharing and both should talk to China. Only China is not listening. Oh hi to you too pmukherjee,

Yes, if China does have such plans it is worrisome and then India and Bangladesh together can war against China.
But that is then and this is now.

Well you obviously have hosted some Kashmiri's, because Pakistan uses these troubled folks for it own devious purpose of brainwashing to spread terror and militancy in Kashmir + Afghanistan and create a farce that Kashmiri's want Independence from India....

If thats what you call help for "goodwill"....then I suggest you check the definition of that word....Pakistan is far from it!!!

PS: You still havent answered my question....would Pakistan be fine with harboring the Kashmiri's for goodwill, but leaving the land to the Indians?

I have answered your question already. We are already hosting a lot of Kashmiris just for Goodwill. Before accusing Pakistan, you must remember that India had also done this in 1971. So your argument is invalid.

As for your proposal of us talking together to China on this issue - I do not think this can be a trilateral issue. Because with Tipaimukh dam choking off our river waters we shall not have much to talk about with China in the first place.
It is you who will need to persuade China to release the waters for you.
You are on your own buddy.
If China is building a large dam to cauldron off the waters - what better reasons have you, not to build this Tipaimukh Dam. Shouldn't it then be a total waste of the $10 billion or so that will eventually be spent on this useless project that will have no water?
Good day to you

Interesting thought, yes it may become necessary to talk to China in the near future.
Regards.

true to the fact indian "copy and paste" culture. When challenged with truth indian try to label thousands of years of natural history as "not enough evidence"
You haven't provided a single proof. I have neither denied nor accepted your long story of "thousands of years of natural history". I have merely asked for evidence that drying of Padma is permanent, and as such creating LAND and not just sandbar.

Go ahead. Make my day:enjoy:

Another pathological liar gone mad. Not to mention con act to defelct original crime indians are committing by trying to occupy neighbors land.
Pathological whiner.:blah:

Padma is dry even in the rainy season and Mr.ignorant thinks its natural. What a crap!

Now who slept in their geology class?
And you are a lair of the worst kind. I have never accepted neither have I denied that drying up of Padma is 'natural'. But how does Padma being dry in the rainy season, amount to creation of land. How much of this 'land' is used for agriculture or industry.

Once again a sandbar is not necessarily LAND.

No further replies to this Troll.
You will reply, only if you have one. Other than making non-sequiturs, strawman arguments and ad hominems you have done nothing.

Hey, how is that butterfly harvest inside your skull coming up.

It is common knowledge that the water levels in the Padma/Ganga have been affected by the Farakka. Who can deny that?
Correct. Farakka is not only effecting Padma, it is effecting Hoogly as well. Large sandbars have come up on Hoogly over the last few decades. Siltation has reduced the depth of the waterways, thereby choking the entry/exit of even medium sized ships. I am well aware, that Padma faces the same problem, although to some lesser degree.

Problem with these BD whiners is that they can't make a distinction between a sandbar and a landmass and forget that the argument, I am making is not if Padma is drying up due to Farakka, but if this drying up is actually creating LAND. I, for one, am not surprised though. What can you accept of a bunch of people who judge poetry by the religious disposition of the poet.

shoshaner rochonai goru dhukbe na, ta hoi naki ?

lets view this from another angle...why not bangladesh asks india to supply the electricty to its grid in return at cheaper rates...this will help bangladesh electricity network....without investing hugely into such large infrastructure projects.....its a win -win situation for both countries....bangladesh benefits ffrom cheap electricty and its economy does not need to bear additonal costs of building a power project....

this will also help build parternship projects not with bangladesh, but with all neighbouring countries...pakistan, burma, srilanka...nepal ..like europe there shud be unified electic grid system...it helps everbody

and than i think there may be some imposters here...these cannot be BD...
hatred thread...no conclusion......:(

wastage of time..all trolls :(...no constructive idealogy.....filled of hatred...pity

Spoke like true Frenchman though I have my doubt. :smokin:
You have to get the practical view and ground reality of subcontinent before making judgment by watching western news. Your choice county India hated by all of it's intimidate neighbor thus it's a concluded fascist nation.
Perhaps you need to figure out why India hated by all of it's neighbors?

Well with all those personal attacks, there should be a reply.

Now,apparently Mr.Geologist here has no idea about "Dead rivers".The fact that rivers can die and form permanent land,is not even inside his brain.

You better read this to get things into your head Mr.Geologist.

Bangladesh drying up as India withdrawing Ganges water

the flow of the once-mighty river Ganges (Padma) has decreased alarmingly due to withdrawal of water at Farakka point in India, leading to drying up of at least 15 of its tributaries.

For full report:
HOLIDAY > FRONT PAGE

Drying up of 15 tributaries already,so within few years there will be no Padma.

But you will still not consider it permanent. As you are ignorant.

P.S.

Your continuous ranting and terming us "BDwhiners" proves that you are not worthy of a debate. And also shows your cheap mentality.

I never term "Idiot Indians" just because I know one idiot who happens to be an Indian.

I am sure you are one of those hardcore anti-BD bengalis/Indian.This is not Bharat-Rhakshak,so your blabbering will not be cheered here,as there are some sane Indian members in this forum.

All you have made is a statement, just because you say it ....means squat!!!......prove your "goodwill" show me some proof other than supporting militancy (which no sane person will accept as goodwill) that shows that Pakistan is helping the Kashmiri's because you genuiinely care about them and not because of the land!!!

Or do you accept that India helped Bangladeshi's because of pure goodwill and you're reciprocating in Kashmir??

I dont really think you have any evidence.....but Ill be eagerly waiting.

Totally absurd comment. The thing that likes of ziad hamid and Ahmed qureshi dont tell you is all indian neighbor's (who hate india) is infact hated by their other neighbor's as well.Ex Mayanmar, Japan, Afghanistan etc. So are you a facist nation? Need i mention more?
