Damn India and Indians.

@Hermione Do you remember the episode when a village near Bangalore rebelled against the authorities, who used to regularly dump city waste on a landfill next to the village. The garbage collectors everywhere had stopped collection for a fortnight. Bangalore had become the dirtiest city in India(Asia, even) at that time. None of this is our fault as citizens.

Yeah I do. Actually Bangalore is still extremely dirty and with the metro work going on everywhere I hate it. I do not go out much, but the few times I have been down to South Bangalore area the rampant unmanaged development made me feel like I am in Fukushima after the Tsunami.

On topic: its true mostly, India is too polluted, and people have little civic sense. Some are better than other but generally speaking its not much good.

They've given the green-signal for Phase-2 of namma metro now. Another decade of massive public inconvenience awaits us.

At this rate it'll take India 13 years to double it's GDP to 4 Trillion (40% of China's current GDP).

But I won't stay here for long. Plus, what the hardships faced by my near and dear ones? Imagine, by the time the metro will be finally complete it might have taken the same time as Taj Mahal! 20 years.

After Modi gets elected hopefully things will start shaping up. Cities need to compete amongst themselves as to who develops more beautifully and efficiently.

That's so true. A healthy competition amongst cities should transcend mere IPL records and into city cleanliness, friendliness, beautification and air quality.

mr we r not developed economy but one of fastest growing economy in world .we developing economy by 2020 or max 2025 india not only b developed economy but third super power including america and china, world manufacturing hub + defence manufacturing hub and many more so plz b worry about ur srilankan economy . india is on right track
