i was reading this on several news sites and watched on Aaj Taak Times now etc and in each one of those reports the media said Indian rail accidents happen because of poorly maintained railways if this is true railway ministry needs to invest into the railway system and clean it up the worst rail accident in Indian history was in 1981 when a train in Bihar crashed into a river killing 800 people on board more than 10 million people use the railways each day if nothing is done by the gov't then more accidents like this will happen but god forbid

Then how do you expect the trains to look like.....Like Mercedez Benz.

The exterior of any bogey looks the same (may be there is some regulation) ,but the interior is changed according to the different 'classes'.
Rich,poor, middle class all depend on railways for long distance travel as Indian aviation sector is not so well spread out and air tickets are still somewhat steep.

if only you where our railway minister sir.....i salute you for your brilliance...i wish i could one day travel in pakistani train...i googled for pakistani trains sir and i was astonished to see that there was absolutely no crowd...
