India to seek international recognition for Hasina’s government

I'd not call that Vote Boycott..see,from October-November,how many have dies??how many vehicles destroyed??how many injured in clashes??if main opposition party called for boycott,it is easy to presume there'll be deadly attacks.and they did that exact thing.they burned 6 hundreds of polling stations, even hindus were attacked.if you call that not "terrorizing" civilians, what is??do you still think Civilians should go to polling stations just to get killed in that process???when a mainstream party relies on violence than people's verdict, they shouldn't be part of democracy.

so why so much hue and cry after High court's decision.in India, nobody goes against court's ruling.thats contempt of court, which is punishable.

Caretaker system abolished

it says BD govt abolished this system constitutionally.

After the supreme court's verdict Govt. abolished the system from constitution. BNP led alliance waged war against court's verdict and they demanded the system to be restored again in constitution.

Jamaatis did massacre after election. They burned houses of Hindus who cast their votes in the election.

BNP is worthless party but India may be thinking of Jamaatis behind BNP. I don't think India has any problem with BNP but Jamaatis. If Jamaat comes in power they will make their full effort to unstable Bangladesh and India both.
Hmmmm.didn't quite understand your point.are you by any chance implying BD is stable now?

The latest amendment also allowed religion based politics which had been banned on papers last year after the cancellation of the fifth amendment. The fifth amendment's cancellation had restored the ban imposed by the original 1972 constitution.

Yesterday's amendment however restored secularism as one of the four fundamental principles of the state which had been omitted by a martial law regime after the 1975 bloody changeover.

Caretaker system abolished

the Martial Law Regime was under Army Chief of Staff Major General Ziaur Rahman's control, husband of Khaleda Majumder aka Khaleda Zia.right???so,they've problem with whole amendment.

People in BD already spoken by not going to the polls. I believe they did their work. The present Govt simple has no basis to stay in power.

U.S is not going to turn the farcical election result, but State Dept declared on the record that election process was flawed. I would put more weight on what the EU, U.S , and the ME has to say than India. You very well know why. Trading and good relation with these nations is more important than the next door neighbor.

They already have.

Khaleda Zia is a sick minded lady. She celebrates birthday on 15th August, National Mourning Day every year just to celebrate the killing of Sheikh's whole family including a 10 yrs old child (Hasina's brother). There was a petition filed by court on this issue but she doesn't care about court.

Khaleda Zia is celebrating 15 August as her birthday and it is a matter of controversy in Bangladesh politics.[34][35] None of her government issued identification documents show her birthday on 15 August.[36][37] Her Matriculation examination certificate says her date of birth is August 9, 1945. Her marriage certificate says 5 September 1945, her passport indicates 19 August 1945 as her date of birth.[36][37] According to BBC Khaleda Zia is celebrating her birth day on 15 August, as in this day her political rival Sheikh Hasina's almost whole family including Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was killed and it is officially declared as National Mourning Day of Bangladesh.[34][36][38] Kader Siddiqui, a political ally of Khaleda urged not to celebrate her birthday on 15 August.[35] High court have filed petition against Khaleda Zia on this issue.[39][40]

Ittefaq Report

India has decided to lead the efforts made towards soliciting international recognition for Sheikh Hasina’s new government. Sources at South Bloc said India will hold discussions with powerful countries and international forums to dissuade them from enforcing any sanctions on Bangladesh in view of the one-sided election held yesterday.

A country of more than 1.2 billion people can't hold Olympic membership, now they're gonna legitimize an illegal election....farce! Maximum they can make it Bhutan/Sikkim and for a would be Bhutan/Sikkim recognition from Bhutan is more than enough.

Why Bhutan is the first country in the world which recognized BD's Independence at first? Did India say Bhutan to do so?

No, Bhutan was not the first one to recognize Bangladesh. Israel was first.
