India supporting militancy in Balochistan: Musharraf

In the interview Musharraf says that India is ‘aiding and abetting Militancy in Balochistan.’ He goes on to say:

We have evidence and proof that Baramdagh who carries out attacks is sitting in Kabul, he visits Delhi and is recieved by RAW.

Just recently, when Musharraf was asked in an interview with Der Spiegel why he had formed militant underground groups to fight India in Kashmir, he had replied that “they were indeed formed. The government turned a blind eye because they wanted India to discuss Kashmir.”

However, in his latest interview with CNN-IBN, Musharraf said the ISI did not train Kashmiri militants, but admits they got shelter in Pakistan.

There is no question of the army, intelligence or the ISI creating Mujahideen groups, training them and sending them in… Hizbul Mujahideen group was created in your (Indian) part of Kashmir and then they ran away from there after military atrocities.

Would like to ask the thread starter about his personal views as well....

B/w couple of questions
- Are these so-called proofs ever going to be shared or shall the viewers just agree that there are proofs hence there is involvement....period..
- If Pak establishment is not going to share the proofs then why they keep on saying that they have proofs???
- Even in this thread Musharraf is saying that Militants were given shelter, so in essence is thread starter in agreement with that??? Secondly can we now all agree that LET and JEM are militants???

.
on one hand Mush say they provide asylum to militants and one's terrorist is others freedom fighter's

On other hand he say India is promoting terror, that means India is promoting freedom fighter's,how many in Pakistan accept that

Mushy expertise in running with hares hunting with hounds. He can't be trusted. And regarding his openly claiming and speaking to media;even their is a ploy.one day he seems to open up other day he retracts everything...Remember famous Mukhtar Mai episode where in in washinghton post interview Mushy said..... on Tuesday, September 13, 2005
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/09/12/AR2005091201724.html
Musharraf also became animated when he spoke about the case of Mukhtar Mai, a 33-year-old illiterate woman who spoke publicly about having been gang-raped on the orders of village council in 2002. Mai, bucking taboos, won public sympathy and government support after she demanded that the men be charged and convicted. But earlier this year Musharraf earned the ire of the Bush administration when he blocked her from traveling to the United States to publicize the case.

Musharraf said that Mai was free to travel now -- though she has never left Pakistan -- and that he had no regrets about how he handled the incident. He said Mai had come under the sway of organizations determined to harm Pakistan's image and he did not think Pakistan "should be singled out when the curse is everywhere in the world." He noted he had seen reports or figures about **** in the United States, Canada, France and Britain showing that "it is happening everywhere."

"You must understand the environment in Pakistan," Musharraf added. "This has become a moneymaking concern. A lot of people say if you want to go abroad and get a visa for Canada or citizenship and be a millionaire, get yourself raped."

Next day he retracted again... on record...Monday, September 19, 2005
Musharraf Denies **** Comments
"Let me say with total sincerity that I never said that, and it has been misquoted”
"These are not my words, and I would go to the extent of saying I am not so silly and stupid to make comments of this sort."

On September 23, 2005 Wahsington post nails mushy's lies by releasing the exact audio tapes of the interview.

Audio tape EXCERPT: Interview with Pakistan president Musharraf(you can listen to it by following this link)

During a tape-recorded, 50-minute interview with the Washington Post, Pakistan president Gen. Pervez Musharraf said that claiming **** has become a "moneymaking concern" in Pakistan. Musharraf later denied saying this to the Post. Here is a recording of the quote in the 12th paragraph of the Sept. 12 story. The remark was made in regards to the case of Mukhtar Mai, an illiterate woman who spoke publicly about having been gang-raped on the orders of a village council in 2002.

On Saturday, October 1, 2005 washington post writes the editorial....

Gen. Musharraf 's Lies

PAKISTANI President Pervez Musharraf complains that his country is unfairly portrayed as a place where **** and other violence against women are rampant and frequently condoned. In fact, it deserves such a reputation. According to Pakistani human rights groups, thousands of attacks are reported every year, including gang rapes and "honor killings" of women who are accused of having affairs or who refuse an arranged marriage. Most of these attacks go unpunished. So retrograde are Pakistan's laws that there are more than 1,500 women in prison as a result of rapes -- they were prosecuted for adultery -- while arrests of men occur in only about 15 percent of reported cases.

Gen. Musharraf, too, deserves the reputation he is earning as a ruler who cares more about how he is perceived in the West than in implementing the policies he claims to espouse, or even in speaking the truth. The general, who seized power in a coup six years ago, has reneged on promises to retire from the army or restore democracy. He has not carried out the reform of Islamic religious schools that he promised in 2001. He has allowed the extremist Afghan Taliban movement to base itself in Pakistan's western provinces with virtual impunity. He has repeatedly insisted, almost certainly falsely, that Osama bin Laden is not in Pakistan. All the while he has gone on collecting hundreds of millions of dollars in aid each year from the Bush administration, which accepts his words and ignores most of his actions.

Gen. Musharraf claims to champion a "moderate Islam" that respects the rights of women. But when Mukhtar Mai, a victim of a gang **** whose attackers have not been punished, tried to visit the United States earlier this year, the president barred her from leaving the country. In an interview with The Post last month, he claimed that he had relented. But then he said this: "You must understand the environment in Pakistan. This has become a money-making concern. A lot of people say if you want to go abroad and get a visa for Canada or citizenship and be a millionaire, get yourself raped." This statement was, as Pakistani activists and the Canadian government soon pointed out, an outrageous lie. There is only one known case of a **** victim moving to Canada, a doctor who was assaulted by a military officer. A far more common outcome for **** victims is to be ostracized by their communities or jailed.

When Gen. Musharraf's statement provoked an uproar, he responded with another lie: He claimed that he had never made it. In fact, a recording of him speaking is available on The Post's Web site, washingtonpost.com. His words are quite clear. "These are not my words, and I would go to the extent of saying I am not so silly and stupid to make comments of this sort," the general said. Well, yes, he is.

.
Every day he is changing his statements to get media mileage. Its better to ignore such people.

One day he says Pakistan trained militants against India and the next day he says no we didn't. Now this. Tomorrow he might change it and say US doing this against the sub continent.

.
Asking my opinion, well i will just say that someone is in search of a political asylum here.

I knew this head bounty had its roots in foreign states.

India supporting militancy in Balochistan: Musharraf

isn't he the same guy who has the habit of summersaulting after giving statements?

.
After accepting Paksitan has been training and sending "militants" across the border, what allegation is that? If Pakistan has been doing it, why cannot India do the same?

This is beauty of being out of mind - like Zardari called Kashmiri Freedom Fighters as Millitants, this character has gone a step further. May Allah destroy two worlds of people who go against my PAKISTAN for their personal benefits and interests.
